It was all right. Thalassa had only recently acknowledged him as her father. It was natural for her to be reserved and maintain a polite distance. With time, he believed they would grow closer. 

“Let’s go to the hospital together to see Lysander,” Joshua suggested.

Now that Zephyr had agreed to let Thalassa care for Lysander, taking them to see him shouldn’t be seen as defiance, David thought. 

“Thank you, David.” Thalassa replied eagerly upon hearing she could see Lysander. 

It had been five days since the incident, five days since she had last seen Lysander. 

When Lysander was untouchable and controlling, she wished she could avoid him every day, perhaps forever. 

But now, with Lysander’s life hanging in the balance and confined to a hospital bed, the mere five-day absence felt like centuries to Thalassa. She was desperate to see him and to be at his side.

Lysander was staying in a deluxe suite, and David led Thalassa and Joshua there.
