Chapter Ten

Aspen

Finally, at the end of the hallway, I find the right classroom and rush inside, needing away from the teasing that was still following me as I made my way down the corridor.

“Umm, hi. I’m Aspen Clark,” I say, handing Mrs. Parrish my schedule.

“Hi, Aspen. I’m Mrs. Parrish.” She says as she glances at my schedule, hands it back, and then walks over to a bookcase and pulls out a book. Once she’s back in front of me, she hands me the calculus book, “here you go dear. There aren’t assigned seats in this class, so find any available seat.”

Thank you,” I mutter as I turn away from her and find a seat in the very back corner of the classroom.

Once again, I pull out another notebook, and my pencil, sitting them with the Calculus book that Mrs. Parrisht just gave me on top of the desk.

I listen as students chat amongst themselves, “Girl, they look so good this year. I would so like to go on a ride on that one.” A pretty brunette says to a red–haired girl at the desk behind her.

“Which one, there are four?” The redhead asks, clucing me that they must be talking about those four unless there are more quads at this school? With a large student body, it’s always a possibility.  Sᴇaʀch Thᴇ Find_Nøvel.ɴet website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

“Any of them. I mean, their quads. They can’t be that much different, right?” The brunette says.

“I don’t know about that. I hear that Jackson is kind of kinky and Boston…” She trails off, not finishing that sentence as her friend nods, indicating someone is behind her and she needs to stop talking. The brunette turns around, to see what the redhead was indicating. Curious, I look too and groan as I watch the four horsemen walk up

the aisle.

Seems fitting considering that according to the bible, the four horsemen represent coming disasters. And as I’m quickly finding out, they are nothing, if not disastrous.

The four horsemen may have not ever come up against a foe that they couldn’t beat, but that was before they crossed me.

War, Famine, Pestilence, and Death have nothing on vengeance..

Well, hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, and they’ve scorned the wrong women,

Stopping next to the brunette, Boston, who I’ve decided is Pestilence, bends over to speak in her ear, his voice dripping with sex and not at all quiet, what have you heard about me? Whatever it is, I’m sure I can put their claims

to shame.”

At her gasp, he pulls back and winks at her and then begins heading in my direction, glancing at me, a devious smirk playing at his mouth.

“Motherfu*cker!” I growl, crossing my arms over my chest and sinking down in my seat, my attention on my

balled–up hands in my lap.

Language Ass–pen, do you kis*s your mother with that mouth? Or are you too busy staying on your knees sucking cock?” One of them mutters in my ear as he passes by, but I’m not sure which one of them it is because I’m determined to not give any kind of reaction, including looking in their direction.

“She can suck my cock!” one of my nearby classmates says, only loud enough for me and apparently the four

horsemen to hear.

“Nah, man.” One of the four says. Sure wish I knew who was who, not that it would really matter, I guess. “You wouldn’t want that near your junk. Plus, I hear she doesn’t even remotely have a clue as to what she’s doing. But I mean, I guess she could always use the practice. Practice makes perfect, am I right?!**

“I heard she vomited when sucking a guy’s cock because of her gag reflex,” another snickers.

“Pass.”

“I wouldn’t want that one on her knees for me if she were the last woman on earth.”

They can all go screw themselves.

If this is how they want to play, fine.

Game on, assholes!

They may have started a war that will bring all forms of destruction, including death, but that doesn’t scare me. I will

take them on, and I will come out the victor

Taking deep breaths with my eyes closed, I try to breathe through my rising anger, holding back building tears because I’m one of those girls that starts crying once she reaches a certain level of anger or frustration. 2

Unable to stop them, several manage to escape, trailing down my cheeks, adding to my already mounting anger.

Of course, that has to be the exact moment that those worn black boots come into view before I get to wipe them from existence. He hesitates next to my desk, obviously trying to get some sort of a reaction out of me, before claiming the desk next to mine.

And I guess he did, he got my anger, and he got my tears

Mission accomplished, dickwad.

Instead of cowering, I don’t even bother wiping the moisture from my face as I stare straight ahead, giving Mrs. Parrish my undivided attention as she goes over whatever it is that she’s discussing. Unfortunately, I may seem like I’m enthralled by her discussion, but once again, I’m not paying a lick of attention to what she’s saying.

Instead, I begin plotting.

They think they’re untouchable, unbreakable.

They’re fixing to find out just how easily they can break.

The second bell rings, I stay sitting in my seat and slowly gather my stuff, taking my time to place it in my bag as I listen to them murmuring to one another.

I’d like to say that I ignored them, not wanting to hear any other ugly remarks about me, but that would be a lie.

“Are you meeting her before practice starts, Bos? If you are, you better make it quick.”

“Yeah, I think so. She mentioned it this morning.”

He seriously met up with some chick before school this morning? And he’s going for seconds after school?

Pestilence, you may not realize it yet, but you screwed with the wrong girl.
