Chapter 10
When the secretary saw that Mr. Melendez’s face was ugly, she knew that he was angry. She thought Mr. Melendez got angry because Christy slapped Gloria. After all, Mr. Melendez was often with Gloria, and the two had been recognized as a couple.
The secretary said, “Mr. Melendez, I’ll ask the department manager to dismiss the employee who offended Gloria.”
“Are you in charge of this company? Did I say that I would fire anyone? Ask Gloria here immediately,” Joshua shouted as he patted the table.
Joshua was very angry now, and the consequences would be severe.
The office seemed to be frozen instantly, and the atmosphere was depressing.

When Gloria heard that Joshua wanted to see her, she smiled complacently.
Gloria thought, “Christy, you’re dead! I’m the only woman around Joshua. He loves me the most. Now that you hurt my face, he will teach you a lesson!”

There were only Christy and Gloria in the meeting room just now.
Damn it! Gloria forgot that there was a monitor in the meeting room.

“Don’t help her. She deserves it!” Joshua said coldly.
As Joshua said that, David’s hand stopped.

Gloria cried more sadly when she saw Joshua was so ruthless to her.
Gloria thought that Joshua would comfort her when she came, but she didn’t expect that Joshua would be so angry
Gloria hated Christy very much. It was all Christy’s fault!
Gloria would never let Christy go!
In embarrassment, Gloria left the office with her body trembling and walking with a limp. She looked back from time to time, hoping that Joshua
would look at her.
However, Joshua didn’t.
He didn’t even look at Gloria’s back.
Joshua asked David to take out Christy’s resume. Looking at the woman in the photo, Joshua showed an evil smile.
He was suddenly interested in the woman who could make Gloria show her real character.
After Christy sat down for a while, the manager Issac Evans came in with an ugly face and said to her, “Mr. Melendez wants to see you!”
Christy heard her colleagues whispering behind her back.
“Is Christy crazy? How dare she offend Gloria?”
“Gloria is Mr. Melendez’s girlfriend. Mr. Melendez asks Christy to his office, and he must want to teach her a lesson before firing her.”
“I thought Christy was capable, but I didn’t expect her to be an idiot. She ruined her future herself.”
Christy was not scared. They were afraid of Gloria, but she was not. At worst, she would resign.
When Christy came to Mr. Melendez’s office, she opened the door and went straight in.
Sitting on the sofa, Joshua was dressed in a formal suit, looking handsome and graceful. Christy could feel the cold aura from his body even if she was a few feet away from him.
Joshua stared at Christy with his wise and cold eyes, like a lion watching its prey.
When she thought of what this man had done to her, Christy was so angry that she gritted her teeth.
What a small world!
Christy glared at Joshua with hatred.
Joshua was not conceited, but usually, when women saw him, they would all fall in love with him and even feel shy and nervous. When Joshua took a glance at them inadvertently, they would blush with excitement. However, when Christy saw him, her reaction was strange as if she wanted to kill him.
Christy raised her head as she asked, “Mr. Melendez, what’s wrong?”
Joshua’s eyes were calm as he said with a half smile, “You know why I ask you here.”
Christy’s face turned red because of anger. She knew that this man asked her here to blame her. As she stared at him with her clear and beautiful eyes, Christy snorted and said, “I offended your gossip girlfriend, right? I will resign. Are you satisfied?”
Joshua had seen many eager eyes from those snobbish women. Suddenly, he found that Christy’s eyes were the purest he had ever seen.
