Clara was heartbroken as she heard that. She held Leslie’s hand and said tearfully, “Leslie, my poor dear, don’t be sad. A kind and cute boy like you will be blessed.”
Thank you, Clara” Leslie was moved. He thought Clara was so gentle, not like his cold mother. His broken heart was healed. by Clara’s kindness.
Leslie became more outgoing after he met his new friends, Alan and Clara.
After class, the nanny of the Melendez family picked Leslie up.

In a sexy red slip dress, Lacey Melenzdez tucked her hair up with a jeweled hairpin.
She walked downstairs through the spiral stairs gracefully. As the wife of a noble family, she was elegant and gorgeous.
Lacey was young, about twenty–seven or twenty–eight years old.
When Leslie saw Lacey, he trotted into her arms happily.
“Mom, I met two new friends in kindergarten. They are very nice to me. Can I invite them to our home?”
Displeased, Lacey pushed Leslie away.
Leslie was just a weak child. Tears filled his eyes, but he tried his best to hold them back when he was pushed to the ground.
The butler, Bob Frye, hurried over. He helped Leslie up and asked with worry, “Oh, my dear boy, are you alright?”
Lacey was even angrier when she saw Leslie was so fragile.
Her son was so weak, not like the future head of a noble family at all. He’s so unpromising.
Driven by anger, Lacey scolded Leslie.
“You disappointed me, fool! Those kids flatter you and want to make friends with you because they know you are the young master of the Melendez family and want something from your family. You don’t even have to talk to them.”
“Mom, Clara and Alan are not that kind of kids…” Leslie explained aggrievedly.
Alan told Leslie clearly that he didn’t want to have any connections with the Melendez family.

Leslie kept silent and didn’t answer.
His mother always forced him to learn those boring courses which he didn’t like at all.
“Lady, Leslie is just a child. Please don’t be too strict with him.” Bob spoke for Leslie.
With a long face, Lacey cursed Bob, “Who the hell are you? How dare a servant teach me how to rule my son? Get away!”
Bob was in a dilemma. He didn’t want Leslie to get hurt, but meanwhile, he had to respect Lacey, for Lacey was almost the hostess of the family.
Just at this moment, a tall man came into the villa.
“Lacey, Leslie is just a child. You don’t have to frighten him in such a strict tone.” Joshua said unhappily.
“Uncle Joshua, you are finally back!” Leslie rushed into Joshua’s arms as soon as he saw his savior.
Joshua was cold and strict in the workplace, but he was always gentle and kind to his dead brother’s son.
Joshua lifted Leslie and said gently, “Don’t be scared, Leslie. Your mother doesn’t dare to force you because I’ll protect you. Come on Let’s play in my study.”
Leslie hid in Joshua’s arms.
Joshua was strong and muscular. His arms were so safe and warm to Leslie. The warmness from Joshua’s strong body made
Leslie feel comfortable.

Leslie liked his uncle very much. How he wished he could stay with his uncle forever.
Bob breathed a sigh of relief.

Leslie didn’t know these complicated relationships in the family. He thought of Alan when he saw Joshua. He said to Joshua excitedly.
“Uncle, I made a new friend in kindergarten. He looks like you so much in terms of both appearance and character. I will introduce him to you when there’s a chance. He’s a good boy, too.”
