Christy felt a faint pain in her heart, as if Alan would be further away from her when he was closer to Joshua.
Joshua noticed Christy’s disappointed expression. All he wanted was to hit her, and he had achieved his goal.
Joshua said triumphantly, “Isn’t your man amazing? I brought our son back. You don’t need to thank me. I only need you to marry me.”
He thought he could make this arrogant woman mad, but Christy sneered annoyedly.
“My man? You’re so shameless! Do you think all the women in the world want to sleep with you? You think too highly of yourself! I’m not interested in you at all. Don’t use Alan to tell me these dirty words!”
Hearing this. Joshua thought, “Damn it. She is still as blind as ever: I’m the best man in the world. Why can’t she see me!”

“Mommy, what’s wrong with Alan?” Clara looked at Christy worriedly.
Christy said, “He is fine. He just needs to go to the hospital to see a doctor. Let’s go. I will take you to find him.”
Christy hugged Clara and walked out the door, but she was stopped by the bodyguards in black.
“Get away!” Christy roared angrily.
“Miss Christy, Mr. Melendez said you and Miss Clara cannot leave here without his permission. This is for your safety. Please understand, the bodyguard said with a stern face.
“Joshua, you win!” Christy couldn’t beat these bodyguards, so she could only go back to the hall angrily.
Joshua really trapped her here!
Christy was a little scared.

Alan had always been strong and mighty in Clara’s heart. When she was sick, Christy and Alan would take care of her together and pamper her.
She had never seen Alan get sick, nor had she seen him get hurt.
Seeing Alan so weak and lying in Joshua’s arms, Clara suddenly cried out of sadness. She held Alan’s hand and burst into

“Alan, have you suffered a lot? Don’t be afraid. I’ll be with you.
“Get out of Alan, sickness! Don’t bully my brother!”
Hearing her voice, Alan struggled to open his eyes.
He was very tired and wanted to sleep, but he couldn’t bear it when he heard Clara crying. Alan poked his head out of Joshua’s arms and glanced around with a dazed vision. Then he saw Clara’s swollen face from crying.
Clara still liked to cry as always.
Alan forced a smile on his face and said softly, “Clara, you are so fierce. Even the sickness is afraid of you. Look. I’m fine
now…”
Sure enough, Alan’s comfort was very effective.
Clara stopped crying immediately after hearing this.
“Alan, you scared me to death!” Christy also burst into tears.

Alan was acting like a baby to Christy. His cute and weak appearance made Joshua want to hug him again.
Joshua found Alan behaved like a normal five–year–old child only when he was around Christy. In front of Joshua, Alan seemed to be a different person. He was cold and arrogant, trying to keep people away from him.
Joshua was not sure if Alan had a dual personality or if Alan was aiming at him.
He thought. “This little guy loves his mother so much. Why can’t he be kind to me?”
