Christy gently pushed the door open soon. Seeing that her children were sleeping peacefully, she was relieved.
She crawled into bed and hugged her children, and fell asleep soon.
Alan opened his eyes. He reached out and hugged his mother, tears glimmering in his eyes. He thought, “Mammy, it’s okay if we don’t have a dad. You still have me, Clara, and Bruce! I will protect you all! And I will the bad man who hurt you pay the price! He’s not worthy of being our dad!”

She received an interview invitation from Stellar Group.
When Christy stood in front of the towering building where Stellar Group was located, her mouth hung open in awe!

The building had 21 floors and was decorated extravagantly, making it stand out like a crystal tower from afar
Christy walked into the gate nervously. Inside the building, the bright and dazzling lights made it like a crystal palace. All the employees were dressed in formal suits, with men wearing ties and women putting on makeup.
Christy still felt shabby and out of place despite wearing what she thought was her best outfit.
She reported to the front desk and was quickly taken to the interview room..
Christy would interview for the position of a graphic designer.
She dropped out of high school before graduating and started working, so she didn’t get a degree.
Fortunately, the job valued design concepts and operational skills rather than academic qualifications, which gave her a chance.
One of the interview questions was to showcase her skills by designing a poster on the spot.
When she saw the materials, she was stunned!
It was a poster for jewelry, and the spokesperson was Christy’s non–blood–related sister, Gloria!
Although Gloria had cooperated with Stellar Group, Christy didn’t intend to give up the opportunity.
In the same industry, graphic designers weren’t highly paid. However, Stellar Group offered almost twice the average pay compared to other
companies.
She needed this high–paying job because she still had to support her children, and she was short of money.
Christy had a talent for drawing since she was young, and in her years in Aeloria Country, she also took design courses. Designing posters was a piece of cake for her.
After submitting her work, the personnel department manager asked her to wait for a response.
As she passed through the front lobby, those female employees screamed frantically,

She followed those women’s gazes and looked outside.
A black Rolls–Royce stopped at the entrance, and a burly man stepped out of the car.
He had sharp eyebrows and bright eyes, a tall nose, and exquisite facial features with thin lips, as if each of his features were sculpted perfectly.
He was dressed in expensive and well–tailored suits, further highlighting his noble and elegant temperament.
Under the escort of several men in black, he strode into the lobby. The screams of those women became even more intense, like waves rising one after
another.
Everyone was attracted by the charming man.
This man was Joshua, the president of Stellar Group and the heir of the Melendez family.
