But they weren't the only ones who were attempting to end the war. On the Elven Island Elan was perched in a tree and he held a spyglass to his one good eye. The elves are mobilizing, as if to ward something off…. He turned to stare out at the sea and nearly fell from his perch as he caught the glimpse of white sails, nearly specks on the horizon, but he knew that they were human ships.

Elan placed the spyglass in his pocket and leapt down from the tree, already running before his feet hit the ground. He soon arrived at the main camp for the resistance, skidding to a stop as he passed through the entrance.

Diva and Zebel rushed over to him sensing that something was wrong, which was confirmed when Elan shouted "Everyone to me now!"

The forces that made up the resistance were diverse, and elves, humans, animals, vampires, undead, gnomes, and several other creatures rushed to answer the call of their leader.

They had come from all walks of life and various backgrounds, but they all were united in their common cause which was to free the world from the terror of war.

Elan looked at this large group, which was large enough to give the elven forces trouble, but not large enough to take them head on.

"The human forces are massing for an all-out invasion of this island, and the elves are certainly going to fight for their lands. Well I say: So will we!"

Elan looked at his forces "We'll never have a better chance to show the world what we can do, I say we take it!"

"But…..Won't we be slaughtered?" came a voice from the crowd

"I mean, I don't think we stand a chance against two massive armies, even if they are fighting each other!" came another.

Elan raised his hands before the room could erupt in criticism. "I'm not asking any of you to fight if you don't wish to, that's not what the resistance is about, but I am going to hopefully stop the bloodshed but if not then I'll take them on. I might not win, but I will try."

Diva stood next to him "You won't fight alone. I'm in too"

Screech suddenly rocketed down from the sky screaming high pitched wails. Elan winced but translated for those who couldn't understand eagle.

"He says that a human frigate has been taken over by Kol and the orc captain, they are coming here to help us out!"

Murmurs of awe spread through the crowd of fighters. They had all heard of the orc captain, who had befriended a tribe of orc warriors, and Kol who had kept the peace between humans and elves, and even managed to have them live in the same city.

Elan turned to Screech "Screech I need you to contact the other birds and have them bring the other fighters….the pirate lords, that crazy mage, the werewolf, all of them! We need all the allies we can get."

Screech flew away as Elan turned to his forces, but before he could speak they stopped him. One spoke for all the rest, "Elan, we'll be with you to the end…..let's go stop a war!"
