Chapter 18 family's reaction

Selena

After our last round after marking each other, we cooled for a moment, but as my heat was cooling off it seemed like he was starting so we didn’t get a break. At least I could get some fresh air while he was the crazy one for a few moments. After this past round I was tapped, but I was also hungry so I volunteered myself to go to the kitchen to get some food this time. I kissed him on his cheek and he pulled me in for a deep passionate kiss. It felt so heavenly that I didn’t want to leave the room, but I had to. When I finally got to the kitchen, I ran into Mia and Raven.

“She emerges! You made it through your first-” Mia looks at my neck and goes wide-eyed. “Is that what I think it is?!” I blush but nod yes. “OH MY GOSH, Selena!!!! I’m so happy for you!” Wait… what!? That wasn’t the reaction I thought I was going to get.

“Nobody’s going to be upset that we didn’t wait till the ceremony?” I was confused. I thought they’d be upset.

“Of course not, that’s a decision that’s up to you and Kieran! I’m honestly not surprised you did during your heat. That’s pretty much the only way for one of you to cool off.”

“Now you tell me…” I laughed a little, and it calmed my nerves to know that they weren’t going to be mad. I make us some hearty sandwiches, some snacks, and water. I put them on a tray and headed back upstairs. I came back with the food and I saw Georgie knocking on the door. I fume when I see his head peek out and I run to the door. I glare at her and I turn to him.

“We’ll talk later...” Georgie smirks at me but leaves. I put the food on a table, about to get angry with him since he had gotten mad at me for doing the same thing. Before I could say something he slams me to the door and kisses me hard. I groan into his mouth and grab his hair. He almost threw me onto the bed and I could feel his heat taking over him. He’s usually gentle with me but I’m so angry with him I’m going to take it out through this heatwave instead of him. It felt wild, almost animalistic like it was more Duncan than Kieran. He wrapped his muscular arms around my shoulders, forcing me down with a menacing air, as I gasped in surprise.

“I’m going to take you now,” he whispered, growling in my ear and I could feel my stomach clench. My heart is beating out of my chest. I wanted him so much. I know I should be upset with him but yet a part of me was excited. It felt exhilarating, and I liked it.

He rammed himself inside me and I arched my back in surprise, struggling against his hold, but he was simply too strong. His muscles were like iron, keeping her in a vice grip. I was his completely, to do with as he pleased. He shredded my clothes, and I threw his boxers off. He grabs me, almost daring me to do something but I don’t. I’m curious as to what he has planned. He smirked at me and he flipped me over onto my knees. He grabs my hair… inhaling it like it was the most expensive perfume. I close my eyes at the tender moment till I hear a smack on my butt. I squeal and look over my shoulder to see him smirking at me. He pulls me close to him and he rams me from behind. I let out a scream as he did me again. We may have done this so many times in the past week but yet it feels so good!

He pulled my hair back, and he slammed in and out of me. With one hand as his other hand reached under as he played with me. My mind is going wild about how he’s able to be rough and gentle at the same time while making my nerves go crazy just waiting to explode.

Just as I think I’m about to finish he flips me over and pulls me into his lap with my legs wrapped around him. He’s still deep inside and I run my fingers down his back scratching him deep but as I ride him till we both explode. As his seed is realized deep inside me we both calm down and lay next to each other and fall asleep. I wake up to a knock on the door. I look over to Kieran to see he’s still asleep. I flip the covers off me and I see Mia at the door.

“Are you two coming down for dinner?” She asks me with a smile.

“Unfortunately, no. His heat started.” She laughs and hugs me.

“Well, that’s hilarious. Not often do wolves have their heat back to back like this. Have fun!” She gives me a little wave and walks off. I close the door and I’m so confused why she thinks it’s funny, but I guess I’ll find out later. I took advantage of him sleeping to take a shower. I think back to my day and realize the last time I was out of the room was breakfast… it’s now dinner. A whole day gone thanks to the heat again. I start my shower and I hear Kieran waking up.

“Selena?” He asks me groggily.

“In the shower!”

I can hear him laugh a little and practically run to the bathroom to join me. I hear the shower door open and smirk at him. At first, he grabs my body wash and washes my body. He pulls me against him and I feel his hand start on my hip and work its way up the side of my body as he pushes me against the wall. He turns me around giving me another smirk as he kisses me deeply and passionately. I push my tongue into his mouth. He grabs the back of my head and pushes his deeply into my mouth as I wrap my arms around his neck. I run my hands up his spine as the water pulses down on us. He kisses all over me… my neck and back up while cupping my chest. Pinching and rolling my nipples in his fingers. I let out a moan and I can feel his manhood pressing against me.

I try to grind on it to force it in, but he stops me with a smirk. His hands slide down from my chest over my toned stomach and to my inner thighs. “I do have to dry off,” I smirk at him as I finish drying. “Come on, let’s eat what was supposed to be our lunch and get some sleep. I made you a meaty sandwich, but I already got one…” I giggle to myself and blush more. I walk out of the bathroom with him on my tail. He snaps his towel at my butt and I squeal. We have our sandwiches but I feel his hand on my leg as I try to eat.

“I do have to eat, but you’re making it hard.”

“I’m trying to behave myself this time. I’m actually exhausted. Why don’t we get some sleep before my next round.” I can’t help but laugh… is this how it was for me?

“You’re right.” I laugh to myself and I wrap my arms around his waist to hug him. We finish lunch and our snacks. I put our half-finished water in the mini-fridge to save for later. We climb into bed and just cuddle in each other’s arms. When we wake up, I look at my phone and two days have gone by! I can’t believe I haven’t touched my phone in so long! We stay in the room just in case his heat picks up, but it doesn’t. I can’t wait to get out of this room… this house and let my wolf out for a run! I wake up and see him smiling at me.

“How long have you been awake?” I ask him groggily.

“Not long. Maybe five minutes.” He tilts his head and I’m deep in thought. “Something on your mind?”

“Yeah… we really made a mess with all these dishes from the past week. Let me get this cleaned up.” I try to get up but he grabs my hand.

“We will, but have a seat… we need to talk.” He smiles at me and I sit back down on the bed.

“How is it when I opened the door to get food it’s a bad idea, but when you opened the door for Georgie it’s ok? Luckily I was near the door, otherwise, I don’t want to think about what would’ve happened.”

“I’m sorry I should’ve closed it when I realized it was her, but you know how crazy the heat makes you.”

“That doesn’t mean that you open it for anyone!” I take a deep breath to calm myself. “I was right behind her when I got there so I just told her to leave and after a stare down she did. I don’t like that she’s trying to take you away from me!”

“No one is going to take me away from you.” He hugs me gently, I just let him comfort me and fall into his arms. “I’m all yours… and you’re all mine. If that mark on your neck doesn’t mean that then I’m not sure what.” I smile and I caress my new mark sending shivers down my spine.

“You’re right… I guess I’m just a jealous luna.”

“And I’m not surprised you’re jealous! Georgie and I may have tried to have something, but nothing even close to what we have.” He kisses me gently and I kiss him back wrapping my arms around his waist. “I love you, Selena… you’re officially my luna and we’ll have to tell the family and the pack eventually, but for now I just want you close.” He holds me for what feels like hours but I don’t mind.

“I love you, Kieran… I couldn’t be happier to be your luna. I feel like I’m needed and a part of something important.” I smile at him and we just continue our hug. “You should probably go to your office to catch up on some work you missed these past few weeks.”

“Yeah, you’re probably right.” He gets up from under the covers and goes to his closet. I can’t help but check him out. Despite being cooped up in our room for two weeks I can’t help but check him out. Even if I know every inch of him… I am head over heels for him, and I’m glad he knows. We change for the day and I leave him to his work. I go back to my office and work on some luna stuff I’ve missed out on and I see Caroline already there waiting for me.

“Hi, mom. Sorry I’ve been slacking these past few weeks.” I blush as I remind myself of what happened.

“Oh, not a problem dear! Mia told me what happened in her office. It’s natural for new mates to have their heat very soon after their first time.”

“It is?” I asked her, confused.

“Of course! The heat is our wolf’s way of getting pregnant.” I looked at her wide-eyed and thought back to what Mia had told me in the kitchen. I put my hand to my stomach wondering if we had done it. “You wouldn’t know yet dear.”

“I didn’t know… he and I haven’t talked about pups yet…” This made me nervous… did he want pups? Would I be a decent mother? Would I know how to?

“Relax dear I’m sure you have a million questions in your head, but rest assured that you’re ok. Kieran is fine. When mates have back-to-back heats like you and Kieran did that’s normal. Especially for higher-ranking wolves like us.”

“Is this like a onetime thing or will it happen again?” I ask her with a bashful smile. So many thoughts and questions and now I finally have someone to ask them.

“It’ll happen again. It doesn’t hurt to have sex as much as you want. The heat cycle depends on the person. Everyone is different, some have it once a quarter, some once a year.” She looks around and closes the door. “Between us lunas, when I had my first heat it was once a quarter, but now that I’m older it’s less.” I smile at her having the comfort of having a proper parent. Having conversations that I never had before even with the help back at my parents’ castle.

“Will I get pregnant during my heat?” I ask, blushing into my hands.

“We’re still human despite being a wolf too so you can get pregnant anytime, but we’re more fertile and have a higher chance during yours and his heat. She looks at my neck to see his mark and she smiles. “That doesn’t surprise me either. I knew you two weren’t going to wait. We can move the ceremony up from Halloween to New Years. It has a similar effect, but instead of the Halloween moon, it’s the strength of the new year and the full moon. I couldn’t be happier to have you as my daughter.” She hugged me and I couldn’t help but cry tears of joy. I would’ve thought they’d be mad about us not waiting, but everyone has been happy for us. “We can push everything we had already planned up. We have three weeks, but you had already picked what you wanted, so why wait?” I smile at her as she wipes away my tears.

“Sure.” I hug her and she kisses the top of my head.

“Welcome to the family sweetie. Now let’s finish this work so you can tell Kieran.” She smiles at me and we get to work. By the time lunch rolls around I make my way to his office and he smiles up at me.

“I’m gonna go for a run, want to join me, or do you have work to catch up on?” I usually tell him if I’m going out so this isn’t anything new.

“I’m almost done if you want to wait for me.” He smiles at me.

“Sure no problem. I’ll go make us some snacks, but before I do, there’s something I should tell you.” He looks at me worriedly.

“Is something wrong?” He gets up from his desk and grabs my hands.

“No, nothing’s wrong, but you know that I work with your mom to help me with my luna stuff.”

“Yeah?” He tells me confused.

“She saw my mark and welcomed me to the family. She’s so happy for us that she wants to move up our mating ceremony from Halloween to New Years!” I smile at him and he gives me a tight hug and lifts me. “Mom and I had already picked everything out. It was just a matter of setting things up so I think we’ll make it.”

“Now I don’t have to wait much longer!” He kisses me again this time with a hunger like I haven’t felt before… even during our heat. “Are you hungry? I can go to the kitchen and make us some snacks.” I smile at him as he holds me.

“Yeah a snack would be nice and we can go on that run later.” He kisses the top of my head and lets me go. I head down to the kitchen and find Connor and Conrad.

“Hey, guys! Good to see you!” I smile at them. It feels good to be around people again!

“Hey, it’s been a while. Have you been ok?” Connor asks me with concern.

“Yeah, I’m fine now. We had our first heat…” I blush at telling him.

“Ooohh… that’ll do it.” He blushes too. I didn’t think these big burly guys would be bashful about a woman’s heat. “Are you-wait… you look different.” He looks at my neck and notices Kieran’s mark. “No way! He did it!?”

“Yeah, he did… Mia and Raven were happy for us when they saw it, but Mia laughed at me when I told her his heat started immediately after mine. Do you know why?”

“It’s common for an alpha to have his first heat after his luna’s but if he marked you then there’s a good chance we could be expecting the first grandpup soon.” My eyes went wide when he said that. My hand went back to my stomach again. It was like what his mom said too.

“I’m gonna finish our snacks and see you two around.” I blush more and they laugh at me as they go about their business.

“See you around… luna.” I whip my head around but smile. When I come back, I see Georgie in his office again with a basket. This woman is driving me nuts!

“I’ll see you around alpha… pup to tend to. I just thought you’d want that.” She smiles at him and turns to head towards the door.

“It’s perfect, thanks, Georgie.” She nods her head out of respect and heads out.

“What was that about??” I ask him angrily.

“I’ve been planning this surprise for you and I needed her help. That’s why she’s been coming to the office for the past few weeks. I’ve been planning this before our heats happened. She’s been helping me plan a picnic for us.” I look in the basket and it’s wine, sandwiches, cheese, and crackers along with a warm blanket for us to sit on. “Now let’s have that run and lunch date.” I blush and I realize how wrong I was about her. We go out the back door and shift letting out a howl. I follow him to where he wants to have this nice picnic, but the run feels so good after being cooped up for over two weeks. The smell of the evergreens and snow makes it feel so good to be outside! I followed him to a clearing near the lake and he had already shifted and laid out the blanket. He was wearing a thick sweater and dark jeans with some boots. Didn’t matter if he was human or wolf, he’s so damn handsome. We have a good time having our lunch and I just smile at this surprise he thought of. Maybe Georgie isn’t so bad…

“Are you enjoying yourself?” He asks me with a smile, taking me out of my daydream.

“Yeah, I am. Thanks for this, I needed it! The wine was great, the food was delicious.” I hug him and lay in his arms. Despite the cold weather around us, I feel toasty and comfortably warm. I shift back into Carolina and she lays in the snow rolling in it so much that we can see the grass under it. She loves the cool feeling in her fur but eventually gets a drink from the lake before leaving. He shifts to Duncan and grabs the basket and blanket in his teeth and we head back to the house. We put the basket in the kitchen and head to our room to warm up in the jacuzzi. I lay in his chest as we lay in the jets and I fell asleep on him. When we’re comfortably warm again, I can feel him lift me out of the tub and carry me to bed. It takes a few minutes before he joins me but I can’t help but smile when he joins. We both fell asleep after a busy and fun day.
