THE CROWNS DOMINION
Chapter 5

"Run it's right behind us!" Tyler screamed as he increased his pace.

I looked behind us in horror,the wolf wasn't even trying as it moved towards us. I didn't want to get eaten by such a terrifying animal. We had learned about wolves in wild life class,they were predators just like lions. They fed on our flesh that is how they survived and this one had just found it's food.

One thing was confusing though,wolves were not supposed to be this big unless radiation affected their DNA somehow but that couldn't be right. Something wasn't right at all.

"Help!" I heard Amara's voice ,she had fallen on the ground. My heart stopped as I jumped back. I felt someone grab my hand ,it was the blond guy.

"Go we will catch up with you!" He said quickly in a tone that left no room for debate.

I shook my head , "I can help!" I said as I moved towards Amara and he followed. We lifted her up,she had probably sprained her ankle.

"Damon my ankle! Ouch!"she screamed and the blond-Damon carried her on his back without any questions.

We ran as we tried to catch up with the others. I could feel blood rushing to my brain and the sweat covering my forehead. I was never the one to love working out although we were forced to back at AGUA to maintain our health. Suddenly Damon stopped and I looked at him in frustration .

"Why did we stop!" I exclaimed

"Something is wrong"he said

I rolled my eyes at him "of course something is wrong! We are being chased by a fucking huge ass wolf !"

"Not anymore,look around"he said glaring daggers at me and I froze as I looked around.

There was nothing,this was not okay "we need to keep going,what if it does some sort of surprise attack"

"Let's go already,please" Amara suddenly cried out. She was in deep pain and we needed to fix her ankle.

Damon started to jog forward and I followed behind. After a few minutes we could hear the others ,we quickened our pace and came to a stop once we spotted our group standing in a circle. At first I wondered why that was until Lilah pointed her finger right in front of her.

"Shit" I said as I stared at the huge brown wolf

"How the fuck did it get here before us?" Amara whispered lowly as tears trickled down her cheeks. I had the same question too,it's as if this wolf calculated its moves,as if it had all this figured out like...a human being.

Damon looked at me "Are wolves supposed to be clever animals?"

I shook my head "not according to my knowledge, animals can't be this clever"

"What do we do now ,it has been surrounding us for 5minutes now,if we move it might attack Lilah so we have been frozen in this state" one guy with wild curly dirty blond hair said staring at us

"5 minutes,it's like it's waiting for something." a short brunette said taking a step back "and I am not going to wait here to see what it is!"

"Amanda no!" Tyler shouted but Amanda had already made up her mind. We all watched in horror as another huge grey wolf pounced on her dropping her to the ground with its weight. I screamed as it ripped through her flesh dismembering her whole body.

I looked at Lilah as she dropped to the ground screaming in tears and I couldn't help but run towards her. I held her as we watched Amanda's screams fade until there was nothing but the crunching sounds of the wolf working on her bones.

We all huddled together and watched the two wolves in terror. GORDO wasn't so perfect after all,it had me wishing to have drowned in the black pits of the sea instead.

CLARKE

"Is there no other way around this,they are just children Jack!" she exclaimed,suddenly her heart couldn't let her watch children die just to save her own skin. She felt so selfish it was disgusting and it made her skin crawl with guilt.

Jack grabbed her arms,he looked annoyed as they watched the rest of team enter the last pod .So far they had sent two small pods up and it terrified her that her daughter was out there without her.

“Clarke this is not the time to be feeling bad,snap out of it right now!” he said sternly.

“Can’t we just send the kids instead! We should send the children up they deserve to live!” she begged

“The kids will not be able to fend for themselves or the groups we just sent up.The kids can’t hold guns or fight or work these machines and you know it.We can reproduce Clarke,it’s already late we have put them to sleep.”he said coldly

“What do you mean!No...Jack no”she cried in horror,she knew they were leaving them to die but she just didn’t realize they would actually kill them...murder them.

Cohan walked up to them looking worried “Jack we need to talk”

“What is it?”Jack asked

Cohan breathed in before replying “the engine won’t start,apparently we need a few people in the control room to send the pod off”

“What do you mean,we didn’t need that for the last two pods”Clarke said a bit confused,

“Well the last two pods were only junior pods.They are small,they don’t need much control and they are automated to just function without anyone actually having to control them.This pod is bigger,so things work differently”. Cohan explained

At this point Clarke felt drained as if this was punishment for murdering all those children and the new born babies. Now she wouldn’t be able to be with her own baby up there,Aria was going to be all alone out there-this didn’t sit well with her.
