Summary
Maxine was just an ordinary girl who knew nothing about the organization her parents are part of. Her dad broke the rule of the organization when he had an affair with Lorie Vargaz, cousin of Maxine's Mother, whom he first loved. Her parent's marriage was arranged and even though it was a one-sided love in the first place, they both followed their parent's will. Her parents' also planned to pull Maxine away from the organization as they knew she will be at stake. They sent her to Canada to study, where she met her best friends, Juliet and Lexter. When she came back, her parents had her marriage arranged with Valmier Llaneda, the son of one of the heads of the organization so she'll be saved from being the sacrificial wife to Serti, the half-human, half-snake, twin of Juliet. But on the day when they should be celebrating the annual offertory of the organization, the dreadful death of her family was plotted. The goal was to eradicate her clan, but it failed when she survived. The Mysterious guy -her savior-, together with his uncle, and best friends, kept her safe and helped her hid her real identity by letting her disguise herself as Namie Riva, Lexter's step-sister. Only them knew she was alive. The protagonist worked hard to develop herself and her stamina. Her desire to place justice in her hands grew bigger as no evidence could be accumulated to uncover the culprit behind the terrible scheme. She decided to work in the company where her parents were once a major stakeholder, expecting to get a shred of evidence or helpful information at least. There she met the COO, who became interested in her and assigned her as his secretary, and the CEO who acknowledged her as Maxine. He soon claimed to be the savior of the protagonist. The story continued as she uncovered some secrets she never thought existed. The betrayal of her friend and the person whom she started to put her trust into -the CEO, caused her heart to break even more. The struggle for revenge and forgiveness will be the main deal in the end. What will her verdict on the culprit be? The answer is at the finale of the story.
