Shaun sounded so sincere that Melody felt bad about turning down Shaun Tate's offer. Still, she was firm in her stance. "I'm sorry, Mister Shaun, but I have no acting experience. To be honest, I'm quite bad at it. I'd hate to cause any problems for the movie."

"Please don't turn me down just that. Why don't you listen to what we have to offer first?" Shaun tried to tempt her with the offer. "If you play the female lead, you'll be paid three million dollars. I'll also arrange an assistant to take care of everything for you in the film set."

Melody hung up the phone and started to worry about another problem. She agreed to take the job for the sake of three million dollars, but how was she going to tell Lucas about it?

Half an hour later, Melody heard the sound of a car stopping outside the house. She happily ran to open the door and saw Lucas walking toward her. "Lucas, you're finally home!" Melody was so excited that she waved at him.

Lucas had never seen her so bright and cheerful before, so he asked curiously, "What's the matter? Is there something you want to tell me?"
