Melody laid on the sofa in the break room for a while, contemplating the situation. After careful consideration, she felt it was necessary to clarify the matter decisively.

Allowing Melody to continue working in the industry could mean one of two things either they did not really care about their granddaughter-in-law's public image, or they really liked her and were willing to support her in everything she does.
