"I want to ruin her reputation. She deserved it! If it weren't for her, I'd be the one standing by your side now. I'd be Missus Rivera!" Thalia continued.

Lucas, despite his slow comprehension, realized she was referring to the incident in the restroom.

Thalia had previously insisted that Melody pushed her, yet she was, admitting to orchestrating it. Although he felt somewhat shocked, Lucas remained calm and composed.

His other hand, however, slid into his pocket to reach for his phone. "Ah, so it was really you. Didn't you accuse Melody of pushing you before?"

Lucas chuckled, his smile tinged with sarcasm.

Thalia frowned but forced a smile. "Yeah, how could I not blame that woman? She stole you from me, and she pretended to be pitiful with her injured foot! Why? I'm clearly better than her in terms of looks and family background, so why does she get to be the one by your side? She's not worthy!" The smile on Lucas' face disappeared. "I've never cared about those things. I'm with her because I love her. I never pursued a relationship with you because there were no feelings between us. I've only ever treated you like a sister, and you should've realized that long ago."

Thalia knew that Lucas' feelings for her were fading. She had an inkling that it was because she was not the one he truly wanted. However, when those words truly came out of Lucas' mouth, she became struck with unbearable pain.

She felt a headache coming on, and the wound that had just been bandaged began to throb intensely.

"Ngh... Lucas, you're lying! You clearly liked me. I know you liked me! Is it because your grandmother doesn't like me that you're saying this? I know you've always loved me in your heart. Otherwise, why would you keep flying to Molomia to see me? You clearly cared about me."

Seeing her clutching her head and rolling in pain, Lucas immediately stood up. "Enough! Stop talking. Are you unwell? I'll go call the doctor."

Despite not having romantic feelings for Thalia, Lucas still had the responsibility to take care of her since that was what he promised Claudia. He felt complicated at seeing Thalia in such a distressed state. "Don't leave, Lucas, please don't leave. I'm the one who's truly meant for you. Why don't you believe me? I've sacrificed so much for you..."

Lucas instructed her to stop talking and quickly went outside to call the doctor. The doctor hurried over and was startled to see Thalia's condition. "What's going on? Didn't we say not to provoke the patient? Mister Lucas, why didn't you follow our advice?" asked the doctor.

Lucas stood silently by, not offering any explanation.

After a brief examination, the doctor realized that the situation was worse than he had anticipated.

Thalia was completely consumed by her emotions, and the doctor's attempt in restraining her was futile.

"Mister Lucas, this won't do. We need to sedate her. Otherwise, it'll be difficult for us to proceed with further examinations."

"Go ahead," replied Lucas tersely.

Once the sedative took effect and Thalia calmed down, the doctor and nurse proceeded with the further examinations. The doctor sighed as he examined her, first providing basic treatment for the bruises. He planned to conduct a detailed examination later. Such emotional outbursts were detrimental to her wound healing and overall recovery.
