Melody did not respond immediately. Instead, she looked around at the other students. "Do you all share her opinion? Do you all think I should stay at home and not work just because there's been an incident in my husband's family?"

Instead of spreading rumors, why don't you spend that time practicing your dance routine? At least it might help you look less stiff.
