On the other end of the phone, Greg muttered angrily and said, “Come on! Is there any woman who doesn’t like money? How can an old woman like you be so naive to believe that there are women who don’t like money? That Corinne girl must’ve put a spell on you or something!”

Pamela kept quiet as if to take a deep breath. Her voice became a little sullen, and it sounded like she was trying to muster some strength. Even her tone sounded a little off–color. “Try to stay home these couple of days. If you need to go out, you must remember to keep safe at all times.
