Ann’s gun slipped to the ground and hit the blood–covered floor. 

She stared at Weston’s corpse and then she rested her hands on her thighs. She started breathing heavily as tears streamed down her face. 

Wyatt stepped forward, gently placed his hand on her shoulder, and provided her some support. 

Ann threw herself into Wyatt’s arms and burst into tears. 

Nevertheless, she wasn’t like most people. After crying for a while, she regained her composure. 

She gazed at the man before her. Wyatt was the one who helped her come back from the brink of disaster 

twice. 

Now that Weston was out of the picture, all of the Moore family’s business in Yonada would belong to her. 

Ann’s beautiful eyes radiated with brilliance. 

Meanwhile, the fight outside had also ended. Hazel stormed in with elite guards and finally breathed a sigh of relief when she saw Ann unscathed. 

She glanced at the hall covered in blood, and cast another glance at Wyatt, awe reflected in her eyes. 

Wyatt was truly extraordinary! He even single–handedly killed off all of Weston’s elites! 

It was truly a stroke of luck that Ann had his assistance! 

Hazel couldn’t help but think of Hayley again. She felt very grateful to her. It was Hayley who pushed Wyatt away, giving Ann a chance to steal him away. 

“Please clean up this area and send Weston’s body back to Moore residence. We should let Grandpa see him one last time,” Ann said calmly. 

“Got it, Ms. Moore!” 

“Wyatt, let’s head upstairs. We’ll leave once they’re done cleaning up.‘ 

Wyatt nodded and followed Ann upstairs.

“Isn’t that something you should say to a man instead? I’m a woman and there’s a saying that goes along the line of ‘a woman changes her mind like the weather,‘ right?” 

Ann’s eyes shone with brilliance, purity, and a hint of mischief as she said that. 

Wyatt frowned when he heard that. What was Ann up to? Was she trying to get out of paying up? 

Did that mean that she was just playing him? If that was the case, the consequences would be severe. 

Wyatt fixed his gaze on her and said, “Stop messing around with me. We agreed on this beforehand, so you can’t go back on your word. Hand over the Millennium Emberbloom right now! There’s absolutely no room for discussion!” 

“Given our relationship, do you still care about such trivial matters?” 

“It’s important to keep business and personal matters separate, even with close friends.” 

“Our relationship is more than just close friends, right? I’m your woman, and our relationship is even more 

special.” 

Ann chuckled gracefully as she seductively flaunted her body. 

When he heard her say such things, Wyatt was furious. He hadn’t done anything to her, yet the woman was trying to implicate him for it. 

Wyatt believed that a woman’s chastity and innocence were more important than everything else, besides 

her life. 

It was also the reason why he desperately held back and would rather suffer internal injuries than defile her innocence when he was detoxifying Ann. 

Wyatt was understandably angry when he was falsely accused of such a matter.

When she recalled the scene of her being pinned down by Wyatt, Ann’s face slightly blushed as she glared fiercely at Wyatt.
