When Brendon said there wasn't any need, Caleb didn't ask further. After reporting his work, Caleb reminded Brendon that he had booked a restaurant with Shannon tonight and that the driver had already gone to get her. Estimated time of arrival was in about ten minutes.

Brendon didn't want to care about Ranita, but he found himself distracted the whole way, thinking about her. Who was she dressed up so nicely for? Was it Dylan or someone else she kept hidden in her heart?

He claimed not to care, but he was always full of suspicion.

“Brendon!” Shannon couldn't help but call out when she saw him fiddling with his pen without writing anything. "Is something bothering you?"

"No, I'm fine,” Brendon said as he read the termination letter sent by the legal department.
