We have a plan

“Okay then. Let’s talk. We all are here so say what you need to say.” I said trying to stop River from glaring at me and Black because we were late.

“Oh-oh, we will after you tell me why the fuck you were so late!” he yelled and I think the vein on his neck is about to pop.

Black scoffed and I think he has a death wish. “You know how hard it was to stop this murder machine” points his finger at me “from killing that lunatic in a very slowly and painful way??”

I couldn’t help myself and I bite his finger. “Yup. He’s right. He dragged me out by my collar. And I know how to kill that bastard in more than 5 different ways.”

“Auch. You have sharp teeth.” Black was rubbing his finger whining the whole time.

I rolled my eyes. “Build a bridge and move on. Pussy.”

He gasped and then glared at me. “How dare you! Take it back!”

“No way in hell.” I said challenging him.

“Take it back now or you’ll regret it.” he said on a dark tone.

I started to laugh. “I regret nothing. I don’t regret a fucking thing and I won’t regret a fucking thing so how I said. Move on.”

He wanted to say something else, probably ‘Go to hell’, but River punched the coffee table and we all jumped in surprise.

When he looked at us his eyes were blood red meaning that he is angry. Which means that we’re screwed.

“This is a fucking important thing you idiots! You don’t realize that we can DIE there! And I mean die in the true meaning of the word. We need to make plans and to establish who does what! We have to do lots of things and we have just 2 fucking weeks but you think it’s more important to bicker and call each other names! Do it one more time and you’re out! I want maximum attention and no more joking or playing around. This situation is damn serious!”

I’m not a very obeying person, but I like it here, in this team and I want to help so I was the first one to talk.

“Fine. No more joking and playing around. I want to do this so you have my full attention directed on you.” I said with I’m-so-damn-serious face.

“I’m in too. Teach me senpai.” Sparky said and he was followed by others ‘Yeah’ or ‘I’m in’ or my personal favorite ‘Let’s fucking do this shit’.

Yes, the last one was Hazel.

River studied us for a minute and when he saw serious we are, he smirked. “Good. First we need to establish each ones roles. I think that Hazel and Sparky are the best at making a diversion.” he stopped and waiting for our approval.

“Hell, yeah. I’m a good actor so this will be easy.” Hazel said flipping his invisible hair.

Sparky scoffed at him. “I’m a way more better actor than you.”

I rolled my eyes. “Take it as a yes, River.”

“Okay. Now I need to know what weapon you know to use. I like and know to use swords. All kind of them. And Flame likes knuckles more.”

“What? Can you blame me? I like them especially those ones with spikes.” Flame said proudly.

Everyone told their weapon and the list looks like this: I have the guns, Sparky the knives, Lincoln has the bow, Sky said he is a sniper so he has long range guns, Hazel has the ninja stars and blades, Ash has the scythe and Black has the nunchucks.

It looks like we have the whole arsenal and I think it’s a good thing because we need to complete this mission alive.

River shook his head impressed. “Nice. It’s good that you two guys have weapons that can be hide easily because we don’t want them to figure out who you really are. Now, Sky you will be our sniper and you’ll stay outside as a supervisor. If something happens or if the guards from outside figure our plan out, shoot them and contact us. Do you understand?”

Sky looked confident for the first time since forever. “Yes.”

“Good. Do we have a good hacker here?”

Sky was the one who raised his hand. “I’m a nerd after all.” he said with a small smile.

“Good. Someone who knows to pick locks?”

Me, Sparky, Black and Lincoln raised our hands.

“Thank God. Flame, Lincoln, Ash, Black and Shadow. You will go in and search for the dungeon. Whe-”

“You know that we have a conference room where you can show us the plan of the building, right? If you just tell us without showing us where the dungeons are, it doesn’t help.” Flame cuts River in the middle of his rambling.

He sighs and rubs his face. “Follow me.”

We all walked upstairs and stopped in front on the wall that separates mine and Sparky’s room from Hazel’s room.

“Aah, River? Why we stopped in front of a wall?” I asked confused.

He starts to tap the wall in a somehow familiar rhythm and when he stopped the wall started to raise. It stopped at a height of a normal door and revealed a staircase that goes down. The only problem is that down there is pitch black and I can’t see a thing even with my elementar super sight.

How the hell are we going down there without breaking our necks?

As if he just read my mind, River snapped his fingers and the stairs lighten up with the help of torches. The stairs and the walls were all made of stone. Black stone to make them look more creepy than they already are. Don’t judge me. I’m afraid of dark.

Yes. I’m a supernatural creature that can control an element and can die just if a dark kills me, and I’m afraid of dark. It’s stupid but that’s me.

All of the guys walked downstairs, in the basement I think, and I was the last one and I’m so close to taking one step back to running the hell out of here. I turned around ready to leave but someone grabbed me by my collar and started to drag me down there.

“Let me go you sick bastard!” I started to get of the person’s grip but it was futile.

“Yes I will. When we arrive at our location.” no one other than Black said.

This fucker should stop dragging me around or I’ll go all Pikachu on him. Yes, I said Pikachu because I can do the lightning rod like him. And I can fry up anyone when they touch me. Like Pikachu.

I didn’t realized that we were there until Black pushed me in front of him. I glared at him and studied the room. First, it was fucking huge! I think it’s as long as the whole dorm building! Second, the walls are grey except one. The one in front of me looks like a huge screen but now it’s turned off. Third, in the middle on the room, facing the big screen was a long black table with leather seats. Glasses with water and some fruits were already on the table.

“Come on guys! Take a seat. I’m going to show you the plan of the building. Oh, and this is the conference room and it’s used for mission like this one. Just we and Team A and B can use this room.” River explain opening a laptop I haven’t notice on the table until now.

I made myself comfortable in a leather seat between Flame and Black. After 5 minutes of River making some faces at the laptop, the screen turns on and a plan of a 3 story building appears.

River smiles with pride and points at the basement of the building. “Here are the dungeons. And here are the prisoners held. You will sneak into the building by the back door. Which is here.” points at a door that was locating on a lateral of the building.

“And here is the entrance of the dungeon.” points at a door that is on the opposite part of the building.

“And what this building is? Because it’s too fucking big to be a normal dark hideaway.” Black said as a matter of fact.

“This is one of the biggest and most important hideaways of Calamity.” River said and his eyes turned red with fury.

Flame, Ash, Hazel and Black’s face darken.

“Who’s that?” Sparky voiced my question.

Ash clenched his teeth. “Calamity is the king of darks.”

Well, shit.

“Yeah, shit. Shit is the perfect word to describe our situation because we need a miracle to get away with this mission alive.” Flame said and his eyes were red and I could see the fire playing dangerously in them.

I could feel the color living my face.

“IS HE DAMN TRYING TO GET US KILLED???” Black roared and jumped from his seat.

His eyes were blood red with fire burning in them and they looked ready to murder someone.

I squirmed in my seat. I am between a very mad Flame and a rabid Black. I am suddenly very afraid for my life.

“Calm down Black. We won’t resolve anything if we start screaming and getting angry!” River shouted back at him but it didn’t helped.

“HOW COULD YOU NOT BE ANGRY?? THAT LUNATIC IS SENDING US TO OUR OWN DEATH!” Black roared again and my ears were about to explode.

“Black please calm down. And stop yelling! My ears are about to explode!” I shouted at him and pulled him back down in his seat.

“BUT-”

“NO FUCKING BUTS. JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP!” I was so mad right now that I could chop his head off.

He was now staring at me trying breathing like a dragon trying to calm himself down. Slowly his eyes turned back to their dark color. Wow, his eyes are actually a very dark blue instead of black. They were the color of the sky has when the night is on its best with all the stars are shining like waaait. What the fuck I’m thinking?

I quickly looked away. “Now, you can continue River.”

River gave me a look I couldn’t understand and continued his plan. “You 5 will get into the building by pretending to be new prisoners or pretending to be new guardians or you can just sneak in.”

“I think that the easiest one is to pretend that we are new guardians there. If we sneak in, we risk to be caught and killed.” Flame said in deep thoughts.

Ash agreed with him. “It’s the safest one.”

“I agree.” Black said and they all turned to look at me.

I look at them confused. “What? Lincoln has to say something too.”

They turned to him and he shrugged. “I’m fine with it if she is fine with it.”

Now they turned back to me and I rolled my eyes. “Sorry to burst your bubble but I think they should know if they have new guards.”

I swear they look like little kids when they turned around waiting for an answer. Now, all of us were looking at River who just smirked.

“We will hack into their system and send them a message with a little notice that they will have 5 new guards and their special talent is to supervise the prisoners. They are healers who can calm down any person with a flicker of the hand.”

I rolled my eyes when they looked at me again. “Stop fucking do that! It’s annoying! And that is a good plan so I agree.”

“Good. Now we need to think about what kind of diversion we need to make.”

Sparky was the first one to speak. “Wait. But what are you going to do? We all have one job except you.”

River rolled his eyes. “You know, someone has to get all of you along with all the prisoners, out. I’ll be waiting for you outside with a van and as I’m waiting I’ll hack into the security system and I’ll guide you through the house.”

She shrugs. “Seems fair.”

No one said a thing for 10 minutes straight. We all were trying to figure out the perfect diversion. Then, an idea came to me.

I jumped from my seat. “I KNOW!”

All of them jumped in surprise and glared at me.

“Sorry. I’m just excited. What do you say if we send them another message and announce them that they’ll have an annual control to make sure the things are perfectly fine there? In this way Hazel and Sparky can keep them away from our zone.” I said and looked at each one of them.

He smirked and leaned in his chair. “They really have an annual control in that they. I hacked into their system and they already have a message that says exactly that. Annual control on Monday, 12 October. The inspectors will be there at 8:00 AM.”

“Then it’s perfect! We can ambush them on their way to the hideaway, kill them, steal their clothes, and pretend to be them!” Hazel said and Sparky agreed with him.

River looked at us and we all approved. “This means we have a plan. Now, we have to train hard because it looks simple but lots of things can go bad there and we need to be prepared for all the possible situations. Clear?”

We all said in unison. “Yes, sir!”

He smiled at us and get in from his seat. “Come here. Put one hand here and at 3 we say ‘Team Alpha’.” He said extending his right hand.

Everyone put one hand above River’s one and we all said in unison.

“1.....2....3......TEAM ALPHA!” and we all raised our hands.

“Good. Now everyone go to sleep because it’s already 8 pm and practice starts at 7 am. Breakfast is served at 6:30. If you’re late, no breakfast and 5 extra laps. Now, go.”

“Yes, sir!” I mocked him and run upstairs.

I don’t know why but I have a bad feeling about this mission. Let’s hope that I’m wrong, but usually I’m not.
