Before he knew it, Cynthia left a mark in his heart and as their relationship progressed, the two realized that they meant more than friends to one another even though they were not officially dating.

So long as Leon agreed, Cynthia would happily become his girlfriend, but he knew that Iris remained to be the love of his life and he could not bring himself to accept Cynthia's feelings. Despite his reluctance, Cynthia was happy with their progress regardless.
