Aurelia’s voice, with its clear and calm tone, carried a faint sense of self–assurance, providing significant comfort to Charles, who was currently in a state of confusion and anxiety. 

Aurelia’s voice reached him, causing the previously perplexed and uneasy emotions to gradually subside and allowing peace to take over once more. 

The expression on his face no longer appeared somber and helpless. Instead, it revealed a sincere and heartfelt mix of excitement and gratitude. 

“Ms. Swanson? I’m on the 19th floor in the Spring Suite,” Charles stated succinctly, revealing his current location before asking. “Ms. Swanson, did you come alone? Shall I come down and escort you?” 

The way he phrased his question was quite deliberate. If she had come alone, it implied that there was a high chance Aurelia wouldn’t be a match for these individuals. 

Then he still needed to summon the courage of a knight going on a mission to slaughter a dragon. 

However, as the boss, Aurelia could have chosen not to come. Since it involved Charles, she chose to show up anyway. 

Aurelia, being a mere woman, was able to accomplish such a feat. Charles, being a man, could not afford to be a coward. In the worst–case scenario, he had to face his decisions with no regrets. 

Aurelia also caught the undertones of resolute determination beneath Charles‘ seemingly calm tone. It carried the weighty significance of burning one’s bridges and making a desperate stand. 

Unable to hold back her emotions, Aurelia felt a mix of empathy and helplessness. She understood the frustration simmering within Charles, the feeling of powerlessness and suffocation in the face of an overpowering reality. The presence of brute force was pervasive, and there seemed to be no escape from it. 

Aurelia empathized and put herself in Charles‘ shoes, contemplating how things would have turned out if she hadn’t become involved in such a relationship with Jacob unintentionally. 

Charles probably had no choice but to endure the grievances and unfair oppression he faced at this moment. Simply being able to escape unscathed was already considered fortunate for him, let alone having someone come to support him and help him regain his dignity and confidence.

her!” 

Declan seemed taken aback, not expecting that Aurelia would have possessed such audacity to come alone to this place. “Does she really know what kind of place Regency is? Or perhaps that woman has an exceptionally influential background?” Declan pondered, wearing an uncertain expression. “If she indeed had a powerful background, then why, as someone working for her, did Charles remain silent and let them embarrass him throughout the afternoon without uttering a word?” 

Declan was’a little confused. 

Furthermore, this place was on the 19th floor. According to the meticulous hierarchical division of the Regency Club, floors one to five were accessible only to businessmen and corresponded to the lowest–level silver card membership. 

Floors five to twelve were designated as sheriff levels, meaning that one needed to hold a prominent position in a local government department to potentially possess a Gold Card granting access to these floors. 

Naturally, the privileges associated with the gold card would be determined based on each individual’s position and responsibilities, deciding whether they could only access the fifth floor or proceed directly to the twelfth floor. 

The thirteenth and fourteenth floors were not included in the layout of this building, which meant that after the twelfth floor, the next floor was immediately the fifteenth floor. 

According to the division, floors 15 to 19 were classified as chief executive–level floors.
