I park my car and let out a breath from the long and studious day I had. I step out of my BMW and head to our house impatient to kiss Leila. I've missed her so much.

As soon as I step into the house, Leila comes hurling into my arms. Picking her up, I twirl her around with her laughter taking the fatigue I felt just a minute ago.

"How are you sunshine?" I ask her with a big smile on my face.

"I have a surprise for you. But then only you can decide if it's a good or bad surprise," she tells me grinning.

Hmm, now I'm intrigued. The twinkle sparkling in her eyes tells me I'm in for a ride. I don't know what kind of mischief she got herself into this time, but well...

"Okay..." I say, dragging the word out not sure I wanted to know. Unless her surprise consisted of us entwining our bodies in bed, with me so deep in her that no one knew where I stopped and she began, I'm not sure I want to know.

"Come with me," she says getting off my arms and now dragging me to our private room. I shake my head, suddenly having a bad feeling about this.

"Can it at least wait for me to change?" I laugh following after her.

"It could, but I'm too excited," she laughs back giving me a side glance.

The moment she opens the door, I immediately smell an intruder. I look around and in a corner, there is a very frightened Robert, one of the council's elders.

I turn and look at Leila who has a shit-eating grin on her face and she shouts "Surprise..."

To say I'm confused would be an understatement. Surprised? Yes, I'm surprised. I'm definitely surprised...

"Honey, what is going on?" I ask looking from her to Robert who looks like he has seen death.

"Our plaything honey. No, not ours but Leone's and Zeus' plaything," she says making adjustments gestures with both her head and hands as if trying to figure out in her mind what she is explaining. She is so cute doing that.

"I still don't understand, Leila," I say with patience. Only then do I realize that her eyes are crimson red. Leone is there.

Zeus, Leone, Leila, and I have completely gone still at the story Robert just said.

Leila starts laughing hysterically.

"You are lying. You are nothing but a piece of shit who wants to fuck with my head," she says vibrating from all the anger she feels to the point of letting out some of her Lycan aura.

Robert's face turns white as the force of the energy she released suffocates him.

"Who are you?" He asks White like a sheet of paper after I have caressed Leila and calmed her down.

"You will know very soon. We will verify the veracity of your story first," I say, taking a perturbed Leila with me.

We close the room behind us as we hear Robert demanding we adhere to our end of the bargain and release him.

We all get into the car and I tell them what Robert said. We were all so confused because the people we met seemed to really love Leila. Guess we will have our answers when we get there...

After three hours of speedy drive, we finally arrived at the Colorado pack. We head straight to the pack house.

As soon as we get in we find John and Viviane making out on the couch and my voice boomed in the entire pack house.

"I want to see the former Alpha couple and you the alpha couple," I end my demand with a disgusted face.

The former Alpha couple comes rushing in and stops dead on their track when they register that it is not a friendly visit.

"I knew this day would come..." Luna Katie says sighing.

We all turn to her.

"So, it's true? You killed my mother?" Leila says in disbelief. She had been hoping that Robert was lying. She repeated it in her head like a mantra and since I had access to her thoughts, I heard everything.
