Hellooooo, anyone who is reading this! We are almost coming to the end of Ben’s and Luna’s adventure. Yay! but not really because I really liked writing this (even though I only did it within a month). Anyways enjoy that last few chapters!!!! -Mad Dog

“Luna that’s it!”

She laughed, “What are you talking about?”

I jumped up, “That’s my dad’s journal! You found it!”

Her eyes widened and she jumped up too, “No way! We can save the city?”

I nodded, “We can save the city.”

She pulled me down as she sat back down. She flipped through some of the pages, reading it out loud, ”Something is crooked is happening with Tech-Earth. They are the world’s biggest and almost only technology company right now but something seems off. We have been investigating them for awhile and now we have found that they are starting to slowly recall their robots. Robots have also began to disappear in the middle of the night without being ordered to. We sent a few people in, to investigate but they have disappeared... We are doing our best to protect their families.”

She turned to another page, ”Things are getting bad. We have seen government officials like head of the CDC Dr. Clark Simon and Military Generals meeting up at Tech-Earth. They have also been taking interests in chemists and other scientists... Dr. Simon was definitely apart of this.”

I thought about it, “Well he did try to kill us. If he was involved with the bombs he would want to keep it secret. We were a threat.”

She continued reading, ”We have a mole somewhere in our office. All our people in Tech-Earth have disappeared and some of our reports have gone missing. Luckily, one of our scientists have been able to hack into their system... Do you think the mole was...?”

I nodded, “Dr. Cory. I am sure of it. This is crazy how everything is connecting now.”

She continued, ”They are making bombs but with some type of chemical. We have managed to get pictures. There are so many of them. Enough to take out the city.”

She turned a few more pages, ”We have found some sort of code in their system. I have asked Dr. Cory to decode it but it is taking awhile, like he is trying to put it off. I have decided to try... Then the rest is just a whole bunch of scribbles of numbers.”

She turned the page, ”I have managed to decode it and put it on a flash drive in my box. When I got into their system it was crazy the amount of stuff they had... There are names of government officials and the scientists who helped make the bombs. They even have a date and time when they are going to bomb the city. We have tried telling the police and FBI but no one will listen. They think we are just some crazy scientists. No one wants to go against Tech-Earth.”

Luna closed the journal and looked into the box, pulling out a flash drive, “Ben can you get the tablet out of the backpack.”

I practically ran to the backpack and grabbed the tablet. I went back and sat next to her, handing it to her. She turned it on watching the hologram in front of her. She swiped to what I believe was the random letters and numbers page. She plugged in the flash drive, “Let’s see what they are hiding from us.”

I noticed the screen changed as it even showed pictures now. Her eyes widened and she covered her mouth with her hand. The pictures were of all the bombs they made. She swiped again, showing another picture. This one was a map with a whole bunch of places circled. She gasped, “All of these are highly populated areas... Central Park... the Statue of Liberty... This was the first place to get hit.”

She then swiped to a page with words, reading it to me, ”Our chemists have created a gas that will change the world. It will first be tested in New York but then we can spread it throughout the Nation. This gas has the ability to wipe everyone’s brains when breathed in. Once that stage is finished, their brains will be re-programmed to follow our every command. We already dominate technology but now we can dominate people. We will no longer need robots as we will have people to do everything for us. We will be the new rulers of the world... This is crazy! They sound like a cult!”

She swiped through some more, ”It was so easy to get past the government. They even gave us grants when we told them we were working on a new project. They didn’t even know the project involved messing up their whole institution and that even some of their most trusted employees were against them.”

She dropped the tablet and looked at the screen with wide eyes. I looked at her, “What’s wrong?”

“I-it’s a recent report about us... It was made a couple days ago.”

I tried to keep a calm voice, “What does it say?”

She breathed in and out then began to read, ”These two subjects we have found are different. They are somehow immune to the gas we believe is has something to do with their brains. They are able to access more of their brain than the average human. The girl, Luna, doesn’t have as much brain activity as Ben so we might be able to convert her with another gas treatment. The boy, Ben, we will have to get rid of but still make it seem like he is helping the city...”

“...The treatment failed. Ben was somehow able to convert her back. We have to exterminate both of them. “...They escaped but with help from one of our own. Dr. Cory was gassed but he is recovering after we have given the reversal. We can’t let them find out anything. We have to get rid of them in case they get close to the press or escape the city. Our secret has to stay safe as we don’t have enough gas yet to go to another city...”

“...New York experiment has failed. That girl got to them, now she has full control. We have to be careful and cover everything up.”

She looked at me, “That was the last of the reports. The rest is just more pictures, lists of names, and a whole bunch of science stuff, like equations and chemicals. It’s probably how they made the gas and there might be the reversal to all of this in here.”

I nodded.

She turned off the tablet, “What should we do now that we are caught up with everything?”

I smirked, “They don’t want us to go to the press right?”

“Yeah, and?”

“Well we can get help if we go to the press and reveal everything.”

She shook her head, “That involves getting close to the border of the city, where all those Guards are.”

“Yeah but we have an army. They did say you were in control of them.”

She nodded, smiling, “So we are actually going to save the city?”

I stood up, holding my hand out for her, “That’s what superheroes do right?”

She grabbed it, “Hell yeah! Let’s save this city!”
