The king's eyes
The convocation

I knew it would happen sooner or later, this summons to the castle.

Our king must rely on sorcerers to hope to get rid of this bad spell that took away his sight.

He has been blind for 8 years now.

8 years that the court has seen wizards fail one after the other.

8 years since this damn battle against Shezaar and his clan of opponents to the reign of Samael.

A few years before attacking the king, they began to sow hatred and distrust in the kingdom to succeed in banishing the elves, fairies, nymphs and all the non-wizard magical beings that this poor fool saw as obstacles to his supremacy.

It is very easy to use a difference to sow doubt and suspicion. Humans are gullible. Sorcerers are very present in the kingdom and the clans have been known for decades.

The other species are more discreet, they are not compatible with today’s civilization, they are directly connected to nature and their magic is subtle and vast.

Unfortunately this is what led people to distrust them. We cannot list the powers of nymphs, fairies or elves.

Each individual has their own abilities and most of them are unknown to the individual himself.

The unknown is a threat to humans. So all it took was a few malevolent sorcerers to use this fear to manipulate impressionable minds, and begin their hold on the realm.

The endangered species had to flee for their safety, the king himself ended up facing this rebellion and their leader, Shezaar had unfortunately succeeded insidiously in convincing the queen that his plans were necessary, and she betrayed her king in exposing him to the enemy.

It’s a miracle that Samael ended up defeating him. Maybe he was already suspicious of his queen...

My mother, Reina, witch of the forest, had already suffered the curses of opponents who ended up killing her a year before the big battle, I was 22 years old. My poor mother was punished for giving birth to me. S~ᴇaʀᴄh the Find_Nøvel.ɴet website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

My father, Levander, is an elf. I managed to protect myself from the evil spells of opponents thanks to my part-elven nature and my father came to pick me up to take me with him. We have been driven out of the kingdom on pain of suffering their limitless offenses.

During the years of exile that followed, my father and members of his community taught me to master and develop my elven abilities. Then I returned to the kingdom alone, hiding my true identity.

Elves are pure beings and the wisest species there is. They have no appetite for domination, there is no hierarchy between them. They are peaceful and the powers they harness in times of conflict are only defensive.

Thus, they are totally aware of their environment and are able to read perfectly in you, your emotions, your way of seeing the world, your magical faculties among others, and your penchant for good or evil.

An elf is incapable of judging and condemning, their emotions are perfectly linear and calm, since their childhood they work with their aura and their purifying powers.

Fate brought my parents together. My mother has always been fascinated by nature and often drew her power from it. My father was the most beautiful encounter she had ever had before I was born.

They lived a pure and fusional love.

They couldn’t live together, but their time together was always wonderful. She always spoke to me of my father with great love and admiration.

I didn’t see him very often when I was a kid. But every time I had the chance to spend a day with him, I found that moment fabulous too. His clairvoyance on the world and its benefits have been very beneficial to my knowledge and to the well-being that inhabits me and which I share with those around me.

I always wanted to be like him, even physically. I have the same green eyes, and I like my long blond hair, just like him. Even if his are closer to white today.

My hair is slightly wavy at the ends, and my mother and her curly brown hair still left a bit of their genetic mark here. And I didn’t inherit my father’s spike ears, I would have loved to, but only pureblood elves have them.

My dad always reminds me that it’s for the best. My place is within the realm and it has always been a question of returning there when I am ready. So I must hide my elvish part, for my safety.

I wanted to stay with him in the vast Keram which is a free and wild area. But it’s not my destiny, the elves who have protected me have always treated me as if I were some sort of chosen one, a savior. My father himself told me that I had a very important role to play within the kingdom.

It seems the time has come.

By returning to the kingdom with my identity as a witch who had traveled to study, I was able to settle in a small remote, and very wooded part of the country. I need the forest to summon my father when necessary, which is the case today. I must ask him for some final advice before leaving for the castle.
