The nurse added, “Ms. Tanner, your health isn't in any danger now, but you're still recovering from the effects of a sleeping pill. It should naturally flush out of your system. soon, but you shouldn“t exert yourself right now.”
“Sleeping pill?" Regina asked instinctively, “Why would there be sleeping pills in my body? I never take those.”
The nurse glanced at Francis, indicating that this was outside her purvie

He waved the nurses away, then sat down in the chair beside her bed in silence.
Regina persisted, “Dad, what exactly happened? I won't be able to rest until I know. Your know how I am.”
He sighed deeply, “Do you understand? Someone drugged you at work. If Nolan hadn't arrived when he did, I can't bear to think of what might have happened to you.”
