The Story Weavers had such imaginations that they could project their tales into the weave of the world, but progress threatens their existence. They await the coming of a Weaver King. Imagine a world where the education system dismisses imagination and creativity as worthless. The city of Villblanche has turned itself grey with toil. Every part of the city life is dedicated to this grey, unending industry. Outside the city, live the Story Weavers, the cloaked figures whose great imagination created the weave of the world. They are despised by the city authorities who see them as a threat to their ordered society. The authorities have been trying for many years to eliminate the runners, the children with strong imaginations who try to escape. However, the weave of the world is complicated and an old prophecy has been forgotten “When just One runs, the Weaver King comes, the City is undone and free runs the Sun.” Kyrin is the last of the runners. He must discover whether he is the Weaver King.
