The crowd was silent the entire time I spoke; a few claps scattered around when I showed our improvement. There was another sound, different. Like millions of bugs coming from behind the Memorial. Within seconds a cloud of something flying charged over the crowd, all of the landing in a large circle around the area. My parents landed themself on the podium, looking up at me with love.

"We made it. Sorry to say a little late, but we found out there are millions of different communities, most very advanced." My mom gleamed, realizing that her voice was carrying over the crowd since she landed next to the microphone.

There were whispers in the crowd, many of them looking at the fact that they were surrounded by magical beings. "I'm just so glad you're here." I smiled and looked back over the crowd, addressing them for the final time.

"Leave with this." I started, bracing myself on the podium. "We refuse to be held in secret. I have heard your stories of us and we're here to help you restore your planet. We understand that things happen, but you have been purposefully harming that on which we live. We cannot continue like this."

My mother stood in front of the microphone, the camera trying to settle on her. "We are not evil who will steal your trinkets or children. We just want what's best for our Mother Earth. Our Gaia. We want her to keep living and breathing, supporting her as she supports us." The crowd erupted in applause once more, all of them standing and whistling and shouting.

I took my parents inside with me, leaving the people to disperse on their own. Sarah ran up to me, enveloping me in a hug and landing a firm kiss on my lips while she ran her fingers through my hair. "You." She breathed when she pulled away, leaning her forehead on mine. "Were amazing."

My father cleared his throat. They had left my shoulder when they saw her coming for me. "And who might this be?" He smiled at her, holding out his hand for her to shake.

Sarah held out her finger for my father, smiling warmly at him. "My name is Sarah Beth, I'm Don's daughter." She shoved her hands awkwardly in her pockets and looked away while pink spread quickly across her face. "This wasn't exactly the way I was expecting to meet you, sir."

He laughed and wrapped his arm around my mother. "It's okay, my dear. I just wish Kreya would have told us about you." He gave me a jokingly stern look.

I sunk back into myself and hugged my arms around my waist. "We didn't exactly have a lot of time to talk, and she just kinda sprung that kiss on me." I pursed my lips and looked up at her through my eyelashes. She was biting her upper lip, her face turning redder now.

Don walked up and gave me a big bear hug, lifting me off the ground. "I'm so proud of you, kiddo. You did so good!" He noticed my tiny parents out of the corner of his eye, his eyes grew wider and set me down. "I didn't realize we had guests. My name is Don." he stuck his hand out to my parents.

My parents introduced themselves and shook his hand with both of theirs, my mom's eyes seemed to shine over a little when she spoke to him.

Sarah and I excused ourselves to get some food from a stall that was open a few blocks away. "So," I started, looking up at the sky hoping to see something that would calm my heart pounding. "Should we talk about the kiss?"

"I'm sorry!" She stopped and faced me quickly, the blonde curls that were just around her shoulders, flew around and landed over one shoulder. "I don't know what came over me-" I interrupted her with a tight kiss, which seemed to calm her down as she slid herself closer to me, wrapping her arms around my waist. My hands found my way into her hair and pulled her even closer to me, our mouths moving in perfect unison.

The world melted away from us and it was just us in that moment. I never thought I would feel love like this, I felt whole with Sarah by my side and I don't think I ever want to let her go.

A few months had passed since we got home, Sarah and I just closed on a small 2-bedroom bungalow the next property over from Don's. I stood in the middle of the livingroom, staring at the stained glass over the door, wondering how we were going to salvage it when we redid the windows.

My thoughts were interrupted by Sarah wrapping her arms around my waist from behind. "Deep in thought?" She kissed my shoulder and then buried her face into my neck.

I nodded and turned to face her. "Have I told you how much I love and appreciate you?" I smiled and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.

"All the time." Her eyes were glazed over as she bit her lip. "I just finished setting the bed up, you want to test it out?"

My throat tightened but I nodded, taking her hand and following her to the bedroom. She had already put her bedding on and rose petals and candles around the room. I smiled sheepishly and knelt on the bed with her, my heart felt like it was going to explode out of my chest.

She smashed her lips against mine, pushing me gently back into the bed, her hands resting on either side of my head. She lifted one and led it to the hem of my shirt, sliding up until it was cupping my bare breast. She moaned into the kiss and slid her tongue into my mouth.

I gently pushed her away to remove my shirt and pants and she followed my movements, returning her lips to mine, but wrapped her arms back around my waist. She led her kisses to my cheek, jaw, neck, and finally down to my chest where she starting sliding her tongue until it met my swollen nipple. She clasped her mouth around it and starting swirling her tongue, making me let out a gasp and throwing my head back.

She stopped and looked me in my eyes. "We don't have to go any further if you don't want to." She was breathing heavier and I could tell she didn't really want to.

I shook my head and slid my hand down her stomach, reaching behind her to squeeze her ass and pull her closer to me. "I want all of you, Sarah Beth Louise Haltier."

She smiled and returned her lips to mine. "I love you." She mumbled.

"I love you more."
