Off to a New Adventure

Peter and Raine were out shopping for supplies for his adventure and quests. So far, he has got a bedding, blankets, food for on the road, and a bag that is magic. You can fit everything in it. All you have to do is put the stuff in the bag as it just fits in there nicely. Then, if you need something, you just reach in and think what you need or want, then it will appear in your hand. When Peter heard this, he thought of Merry Poppins, one of his favorite movies, while growing up. Now all he needs to get is cooking supplies, some gears and clothes. Filly told Peter that he can get anything he wants for the cooking supplies and food, while Sofie told him to get anything he needs for his adventure. Raine and Peter were at the cooking supplies shop and they looked around for some stuff like pots and pans for cooking food and boiling water. They found some and grabbed them and headed up to the counter where a dwarf was smoking a pipe while doing some paperwork. Putting the stuff on the counter, the dwarf looked up from his work and puffed some smoke from his mouth before looking at the stuff that Peter and Raine put on the counter before smiling.

“Welcome, my friends. Is that all for you?” His voice was cranky, but yet nice.

“Yes, it is.” Raine said while Peter looked around till he saw some small weapons on the wall behind the dwarf.

“Say, what are those behind you?” Peter asked while the dwarf turned and looked at the weapons, then looked back.

“Those are for travelers. We use them for goblin hunting and other stuff. Why do you like to see some of them?” The dwarf asked while looking at Peter and Peter nodded.With a puff of smoke, the dwarf turns around and grabs the stuff before placing them down on the counter. There were throwing knives, kyoketsu-shoge, the blade was black so was the string. Bottles with blue, green and purple liquid stuff inside the bottles, and other small stuff. Peter looked at the stuff as he knew some of this stuff would come in handy, so he pointed to the throwing knives and the kyoketsu-shoge.

“I would like to have those two.” Peter told the dwarf as he nodded and grab the throwing knives and three kyoketsu-shoge.

“Anything else?” the dwarf asked while Peter nodded.

“Yes, what are those bottles?” Asked Peter.

“Well, these are magic bottles. The blue bottle is healing wounds, the green gives you more strength and speed, and the purple bottle is making you invisible.” said the dwarf while Peter nodded and thought for a bit.

“Alright then, I will take some of those then.” Peter said.The dwarf grabbed three of each and placed them next to the throwing knives and the kyoketsu-shoge. Peter pulled out some money and handed it to the dwarf while the dwarf took the money. Raine puts all the stuff in the bag and heads out while Peter waves bye to the dwarf and follows Raine out. They walked around for a bit until they came across the clothes shop.

“How about I get some clothes for you and you can go over there where it said for gears. Here is some of Sofie’s money.” Raine told Peter and handed him a small bag of money.

“Okay.” Peter holds the bag and heads off to the gear store.When Peter got inside the store, there were a lot of ropes, walking sticks, bows and arrows. For the arrows, there are different colors: red, blue, purple, and yellow. Peter walked up to the counter as there was an elf that had big glasses on and was reading a small book. The elf looks up from his book and smiles once he sees Peter.

“Ah! Knight Peter, what can I do for you?” The elf asked while putting away his book.

“Yes, yes, of course! Let me go get some rope for you and you can look around for a walking stick and I will get some bows out for you to look at.” The elf said while heading in the back to grab the rope and bow.Peter turned and walked over to the walking sticks and looked through them. While looking at the walking sticks, he found one that stick out the most. Grabbing the stick that was long and black with silver markings on it. While holding the stick, he can feel something about the stick so he took that one and head back to the counter. The elf came back with some rope and some bows, setting the rope down on the right corner and set the bow across the table while Peter look at the fine bows. There are some markings on them and some don’t have none, but there is one bow that drew him in more is the silver one with gold marking on it. Picking up the bow and look at it, the elf smile at this.

“Ah, that is a cross-river bow! That bow never misses its target. If you are looking for a good bow, that one will be the best bow you can find and use.” The elf told Peter as Peter smiles while looking at the bow.

“I will take it.” Peter said while the elf smiled and nodded.

“Well then, here is your rope and I see you picked a nice walking stick.” The elf said while Peter pulled out some money and handed it to the elf while the elf took it and handed the rope to Peter. “Now, what arrows do you like to have?”

“Arrows? There are more than regular arrows?” Peter asked while the elf laughed.

“Yes, there are! There is the red one and that is fire arrows, then blue, meaning ice arrows, purple poison, and yellow is lighting and thunder arrows. Also, there are regular arrows if you just want normal arrows to use.”

“Hmm, I guess I will have five of each.” Said Peter while the elf nodded and went over to the arrows and picked five of each of the arrows then headed back over to the counter with a holder for the arrows.

“Now you are getting just five of each. They are free.” Said the elf and this confused Peter.

“You sure?” Ask Peter, as he wants to make sure he is hearing it right.

“Yes, I am sure of Knight Peter! Now off you go and you are welcome to come back anytime if you need something or more arrows.” the elf said with a smile.

“Thank you.” Said Peter while walking out of the store.Raine walked over with some clothes in her hands while Peter was putting the bow in his bag with the walking stick, rope, and the arrows with the holder. He opened the bag more for Raine, putting the clothes in the bag. Raine pulled out a list and looked at it with a smile, then looked at Peter.

“I think we got it all! Now, let’s head back to the castle so we can tell Queen Sofie that you are ready.” Said Raine.Raine and Peter head back to the castle, where Sofie was doing some paperwork. Looking at her paperwork, she saw Peter and Raine in the hall and smiled. She stood up and walked around her table and headed over to them.

“Found everything you need?” Sofie asked, while both Raine and Peter nodded. “Great! Now go eat and get some good rest. By tomorrow, your horse will be ready and you can head out on your adventure.”

“Thank you, Queen Sofie, but can I ask something?” Peter asked, while Sofie nodded. “Well… will Draken come after me?”

“Not for some time. You killed his number one monster but still be on your guard. You may not know if he will send out more of his monsters after you.” Sofie said and Peter nodded.

“Alright then, well, I will head off to get some food and rest.” Said Peter, while Sofie nodded and with the Peter left to grab some food and get a good night’s rest.The next day came and Peter was off on his own for his first adventure in Zarlakarla, riding on a black horse as he turned and looked at the white castle of Queen Sofie’s kingdom. With a smile, he looked ahead of him and with two kicks, the horse took off running out into the open area. On this adventure, he knows he will run into danger, make some new friends, make some enemies, and maybe make some kind of group to join him on his adventure.
