Chapter 64

“She should get sentenced to at least a few years for what she did. I hear they’re university students. Their school should expel these trashy, despicable people.”

“I’ll have you know that my father is no ordinary person. We won’t let you off if you don’t explain yourselves!”

A young lady with frosting in her hair and on her face limped toward Quince and Leonard as the two entered. “Quince, you have to get justice for me!”

Quince was shocked. “M-Madison?”

Madison cried hysterically. “Quince, I got attacked. That woman smashed my face with the cake, and I couldn’t breathe. My face and legs are hurting. You have to get back at her for me. I want you to make her life in Queenston a living hell!”

“Okay, okay. I’ll make sure to get back at her for you.” Seeing her sister in such a state, Quince felt immense heartache, “Who touched you?”

“It was her.” Madison angrily pointed at a frail, handcuffed figure sitting in the corner.

Lisa raised her head, revealing her smothered face. Her hair was a mess and caked with frosting. One side of her face was swollen like a bun, while the other had several scratch marks.

She looked disheveled, but her eyes were cold and dark, like a lone indifferent wolf in the abyss.

“You did this, Lisa?” Quince fumed. “I thought you had a straightforward personality, but I didn’t expect you to be so malicious and dare to harm my sister. I won’t let you get away with this.”

“Until the police thoroughly investigate the incident, everything is based on your sister’s one-sided account,” Leonard said coldly.

Quince was surprised, not expecting Leonard to speak up for Lisa in the confrontation between the two young ladies. Leonard, don’t forget that Madison grew up with us.”

Leonard ignored him and approached Lisa.

Lisa froze upon seeing him since she did not expect the police to contact him. Besides, Quince’s earlier words made her realize he was Madison’s brother and that Leonard would probably help his friend.

Even if Madison and Quince were not biological siblings, Leonard would probably not help Lisa. Lisa thought he came just to look down on her, despise her, and scold her. In the eyes of these proud individuals, Lisa was just a piece of dirt under their

Lisa did not say a word when Leonard approached. She did not even bother looking at him and lowered her gaze.

Leonard stooped down, looking at the messy young lady before him. She hung her head and was not even looking at him, resembling an abandoned cat.

For some reason, his voice softened. “Why’d you hit Madison?”

Lisa was puzzled for two seconds. She thought Leonard would accuse her in a cold, heartless voice.

‘Is that his voice?’

“She deserved it.” Lisa raised her head. Her face was a mess, but her eyes were defiant, befitting her age. “Her parents didn’t educate her properly, so I’m doing it for them.”

Her words instantly infuriated Quince. “Who do you think you are to judge my parents, Lisa?! You don’t have a right to meddle in how my family educates their young!”

He was outraged and wanted to hit Lisa, but Leonard grabbed his arm.

Quince was astounded while his sister exclaimed in disbelief, “She hit me, Leonard! She’s the one who did this to me, and on my 21st birthday, too!”

She burst into tears, trying to appear as pitiful as possible.

Meanwhile, Lisa revealed a cold smile.

“Explain yourself, Lisa.” Leonard did not even look at Madison and stared at Lisa with dark eyes. “Why’d you hit her?”
