Chapter 34 - The Search Is On

God fucking dammit, how hard can one fucking vampire be to find. Okay so I guess a wolf trying to find a vampire probably isn’t the easiest thing, but for fuck sake this is beyond pissing me off. Both Eli and I have searched all the islands and I know Eli has spoken with all his people and Volotor is nowhere to be found. I have reached out to a few vampires I know on the mainland and I even sent that fuckers picture to see if anyone recognised him, but no fucking luck. Eli told me he reached out to a few of the other kings and so far nothing, but they are still looking. Kodi is bringing her friend to meet with us today. I am not sure how I feel about a demon on our land, but I have already agreed to this so there is that. I haven’t dealt with to many demons, but the few I have things didn’t go well. Demons tend to stay away from the island, but I am not sure why and when I asked Dad he had no idea either.

“Hey I have Noa with me. Is everyone here?” Kodi asked.

My little copper flame is so damn cute. She is peeking her head in to see if we are all here. She smiles when she see that everyone is here and ready for her and her friend. I nod at her so she knows it is okay to come in, but she stands in the door way for a second. I can hear a man behind her telling her that everything is fine. Again she is do damn precious. She is standing there to make sure that we won’t hurt her friend.

“My little copper flame come here. No one is going to hurt your friend. Eli and the guys should be here soon. I thought it would be a good idea if he is here. Unfortunately dip shit and dumb ass will be here as well.” I say.

“Why are they coming? They don’t need to be here.” She whines.

The man behind her laughs as she walks into the room. She walks over to where I am at. I hook my finger through one of her belt loops causing her to fall into my lap. I let out grunt as she lands in my lap.

“Don’t fucking do that. You could have ripped my pants then everyone in here would have seen my bare ass since I am wearing a thong.” Kodi hissed.

“And there is another mental image I never needed to see. We always seem to walk into the room when you are saying shit that we don’t want to know about our little sister.” Vance groans.

“No one asked you to come. If you don’t want to hear me say shit then stay in your kingdom. I am not sure how your fucking kingdom runs as well as it does when the two of you are always fucking here annoying me.” Kodi snarls.

“I think her smart ass attitude is getting worse. It is certainly getting more violent.” Rory comments.

“You three need to stop. I swear I can’t take you two anywhere.” Zhamaxin says.

“Where is your babysitter and why did she let the two of you off your leashes?” Kodi asked.

“Enough we have a visitor and a bunch of shit to discuss.” I grumble.

“Damn the show is over. I was enjoying the banter and smart ass remarks.” Eli drawls.

Of course he would show up when these three are giving each other shit. His shit eating grin can’t be missed. Eli and Xenton take a seat as does Kodi’s friend. I swear I know this guy and I can see Dad staring at him as well.

“Do I know you?” I asked.

“No, but you probably know my cousin who your pack had to kill when you were 16.” Noa states.

“Oh, shit that was our cousin. Um, I am not sure what to say.” I state.

“Don’t worry about it. He was a colossal asshole and he knew what he was doing was going to get him in deep shit or killed, and well we all know how it ended.” Noa comments.

“So Kodi tells me that you might need my help.” Noa says.

I explained that Kodi and I visited Eli and that this one guy was staring at Kodi the whole time we were there. Eli then explained that he has no idea who he is and that he has never seen him before in his clan or in the kingdom. Noa looks confused as he listens to us. I then slide the picture across the desk until it is in front of him. He let out a hiss when he looked at the picture.

“His name is Volotor and he was more than likely projecting a glamour to make it look like the vampire you knew. He is actually a hybrid. His mother was a vampire but his father was a demon and a highly respected and powerful demon. I know his mothers family was against the pairing, but she walked out of the clan they were in and was never seen again. Several years later one of her brothers happened to see her with demon mate and three children. One of the kids was a boy the other was a little girl and the other was still a baby and wrapped in a blanket so he was unable to tell what sex the little one was. He called out to his sister, but when she saw him the family hurried down the street and by the time he somewhat caught up to them they had vanished.” Noa explained.

“What happened to them?” Rory asked.

“The demon, whose name was Oroan. He was killed about fifteen years after that last sighting. He had been conspiring with a few other demons, wolves, and vampires to try and over throw the supernatural council. It didn’t work and all but four were killed including Oroan. His vampire mate was found a few months later by a few of her family’s patrols close to death. They tried to get her to talk but she refused. She told them they would never find her children. She knew that if they were found that they would be put to death. I am not sure what happened to the oldest boy, but the girl found her mate and had kids herself. She started a café that is still in business to this day.” Noa added.

“Shit wait that café is yours and Patyna’s.” Kodi gasped.

“Yes, the girl was her mother. Patyna’s father was human. Patyna has no idea she is of the supernatural world. She knows about it because of me, but her mother never told her of her family or their history. Patyna didn’t get any powers or abilities from her demon heritage, but she can move slightly faster than than a normal human. I have no idea why her mother never told her anything but her mother died about ten years ago so she took the reasons and secrets to the grave. I only know about it because my great uncle knew Patyna’s grandmothers family. I am a hybrid wolf/vampire. No I am not part of the vampire family that Patyna is part of. My family originated from somewhere in South America.” Noa told us.

“So the older boy vanished? What of the younger one?” I asked.

“The younger one has been seen over the years but not in a while. From what I was able to find out he found his mate who was coincidently was a vampire/demon hybrid too. They had two kids both boys who have found their mates. Volotor is the youngest son of the oldest son. According to the rumours lives somewhere in Japan with his mate and kids, but there is no solid proof of this.” Noa comments.

Well shit, while that is helpful we still have no idea where this Volotor is. I asked Noa about where he might be, but he isn’t sure. He tells us that there are a few rumours about his location. He does tell us that he is good friends with a high ranking and powerful fae. I bet I know who that fae might be.

Kodi

I was not expecting Noa to tell us everything he did. I can damn near promise that Volotor’s powerful fae buddy is my power hungry Uncle Zenos. I glance at my phone when I hear it tings. I look at it and I smile. Another one of the major surfing competition is coming up. I can’t fucking wait. I text Mauku letting him know and in no time the door to our room swings open and he takes a flying leap landing on the bed. I let out a scream when he tackles me against the bed. Okay this is not the response I was expecting when I sent him that fucking text.

“Get off me you fucking lard ass.” I hiss.

“Please save me from his dirty mind. I received a notification about an upcoming surfing competition so I was nice enough to text him with the information. The next thing I know he comes bursting into our room and tackles me. Please save me.” I whine.

Reign pulls me out from under Mauku who is more or less sitting on me. He is such a lard ass. Mauku doesn’t get off the bed. He just lays there in our bed and smiles at me. God he is so fucking annoying. Reign grumbles something as he walks into the bathroom. I hiss at Mauku and tell him to get the fuck out. I am positive that Reign wants him gone before he is done showering. I am finally able to chase his annoying ass out of the room.

“I am guessing you want to participate in this competition.” Reign states.

“Of course. It might also be a good way to bring those fuckers out of hiding. I doubt they would do anything with all these people here. This competition is one of the largest and is going to draw a massive crowd. They would be absolutely asinine to try anything. We could out more guys out on patrol and have more trackers out there to watch for anyone suspicious.” I told him.

“I am not going to stop you from participating, but I need you to be careful. I think we should tell Cerelium about this. He can have some of his guys watching from the water. I think having both the land and sea covered. I do agree that they would have to have balls the size of mountains to try something with all the people that will be here to watch the competition.” Reign replies.

I pull him down on the bed making him groan. I didn’t mean to knee him in the stomach. I also didn’t mean for his towel to come undone, but I am also not against this turn of events. I let my hands roam over his body making him growl. When I look at him I can see Blade has come forward and they are both looking at me. I give them my best smile and wrap my hands around his massive cock. I know this is going to get me into trouble, but fuck this is my kind of trouble.
