Chapter 24 

Erik guessed that Mr. McFadden was calling to ask about the situation because he had seen the trending content on the 

Internet. 

When Erik answered the call, he immediately said, “Mr. McFadden, do not worry. I have already taken care of everything. The social effect is horrible, so I will expel Alexandra. Do not wor… What? What did you say?” 

Mr. McFadden said some more things on the other end of the call and hung up. 

Erik side–eyed Alexandra in confusion. He could not seem to figure it out. 

The other girl on Martha’s side was staring at her phone. “How weird!” she exclaimed. “How come all the news disappeared?” 

Erik honestly could not figure it out. Why had Mr. McFadden gone out of his way to call and tell Erik to not get involved in 

this matter? 

In other words, Mr. McFadden wanted Erik to turn a blind eye. 

This perplexed Erik even more. Just what kind of background did Alexandra have? 

Alexandra dared to get into a fight with the daughter of the Connolly family, was good friends with the daughter of the Walters family, and now had Mr. McFadden speak up for her. 

In the end, nothing came out of this fiasco. 

Erik changed his tune and gave some advice for them to make up. He also instructed Alexandra to write a 3000–word self- reflection and sent all the students away. 

Even Alexandra could not figure it out. That was it? 

The incident ended just like that? 

It was amazing. 

Martha was on the way home. She grew furious whenever she thought of Alexandra. 

“It is obvious that Alexandra does not have any strong connections. How come Mr. Johnson’s attitude changed so quickly?” Martha asked Kelly. “Kelly, Mr. McFadden is your grandpa. Go ask him where Alexandra came from.” 

Kelly was confused too. She had thought that Alexandra would definitely get expelled. 

Kelly twirled her hair. “I can’t do that. Martha, what if we just let it go? You hit Alexandra too, so how about we just forget it?” 

“No. You have to help me ask. She dared to bully me, so I have to make her life hell” 

“Alright, I’ll ask my grandpa after I get home.” 

Just as Alexandra and Emery went downstairs, Alexandra got a call from Julian. 

When Alexandra saw the caller ID, her heart leaped into her throat. 

“He doesn’t know, right?” Alexandra thought. 

It was just a small matter. 

Plus, it had already been resolved, right? 

Alexandra answered the call. Julian’s cold voice streamed out. “Campus entrance. Come out.”

Oh no, oh no, Alexandra thought. 

Julian definitely knew. 

Alexandra bid farewell to Emery and ran off quickly. 

Alexandra had to explain that she did not cause this commotion on purpose. 

She did not dare to waste any time. She walked to the main entrance and saw a black Rolls–Royce parked on the side of the road. It stood out quite a lot. 

Alexandra swallowed heavily and walked over. 

Alexandra gol into the car. Julian was sitting in the backseat. 

The two of them exchanged stares. Julian scanned Alexandra. 

Alexandra’s hairstyle was ruined, but there were no injuries on her face or neck. It seemed that she had not lost the fight. 

After confirming that she was okay, Julian slowly moved his eyes back onto Alexandra’s face. 

Alexandra was unnerved by Julian’s stare. Alexandra sat in the corner of the seat, staying away from Julian. 

Marco sat in the driver’s seat and did not dare to make a sound. He pretended he did not exist. 

He continued to ship his OTP. 

He could not believe that his workaholic boss could get so frazzled by this little girl. 

However, when Julian spoke, his voice was a bit cold. “Alexandra, do you think I have too much time on my hands?” 

Judging by Julian’s tone, he was pissed off.. 

Alexandra immediately smiled with her bright eyes. “Mr. Ranford, how could you be alerted about such a small matter? Marco, were you the one who leaked the news? You shouldn’t have done that.” 

Marco, still trying to be invisible, was now panicking. 

“Mrs. Alexandra, stop making things worse!” he yelled in his mind. 

Julian glanced coolly at Alexandra. It felt like there was an arctic tornado in Julian’s eyes, freezing Alexandra to the core. 

Alexandra gulped subtly as her smile stiffened on her face. 

Julian could not describe how he felt. 

His life had always been under control. 

Not only had Alexandra jumped into Julian’s life out of nowhere, but she also had become Julian’s wife somehow. 

Now Alexandra had even started picking fights with people. 

Julian was a CEO who had to make million–dollar deals every minute, but now he had to help her speak to Mr. McFadden and use his connections. 

Yet Alexandra did not even look apologetic. 

Alexandra was still trying to act cute with Julian. 

Julian wanted to scold Alexandra, but he could not bring himself to do so.

Meanwhile, Alexandra got goosebumps from Julian’s stare. 

“Even scolding me would be okay.” Alexandra thought. Why was Julian not saying anything? 

“Uh… Alexandra coughed softly. “I can explain. I didn’t start it.” 

“Is that your excuse for hitting someone?” Julian asked in reply. He was still expressionless. His voice was deep and serious. 

“I did not hit anyone, Alexandra said. “I only poured coffee onto her.” 

Julian was speechless. 

“Alexandra, it seems that I did not make things clear enough last time, so you better get it straight now. Since we’re in a partnership, you better not cause trouble for me.” 

Julian’s tone made Alexandra feel wronged. Alexandra had not felt this hurt even when Martha had grabbed Alexandra’s

Alexandra suddenly did not feel like explaining anymore. Julian must have seen the news and pictures that had spread maliciously online and decided that Alexandra was the culprit. 

“Yeah,” Alexandra thought. It was not wrong for Julian to think that way. 

Alexandra was just a country bumpkin. 

It was natural for her to be unreasonable, aggressive, and vulgar. 

Julian looked at Alexandra’s flushed cheeks. Julian’s heart skipped a beat. 

Julian turned so he was not looking at Alexandra anymore. “Marco, Julian said, “dock her pay for 10 days.” 

Alexandra was caught by surprise. 

Alexandra’s humiliation instantly turned into anger. She felt a pull somewhere in her right arm, but she ignored it and said to Julian, “Fine. Dock my pay. Dock it all. So what if I get into fights? I am aggressive and vulgar because I’m not somet refined lady.” 

With that, Alexandra pulled open the door and jumped out of the car. 

When Julian turned around, he saw there was a red scratch on Alexandra’s right arm. 

Alexandra had run away too quickly, so Julian could not see how serious the injury was. 

Alexandra slammed the door shut in protest. 

Marco did not dare to make a sound. Alexandra had definitely crossed the line now. 

Who dared to show their temper to Julian like that? 

Marco glanced at his boss and saw that Julian’s expression did not look any better. 

“What are you looking at? Drive back to the office!”

Julian was the same kind of person as Martha. 

They looked down on Alexandra from the bottom of their hearts. 

Alexandra must have been blind to think that Julian was a good person. 

Julian was a bad person. 

They were all bad people. 

Alexandra opened her phone and saw that Emery had sent a message, asking where Alexandra had gone. 

Alexandra comforted Emery and shut her phone down.
