Chapter 53

“Who is it?” Alexandra questioned.

Emery leaned over and whispered in her ear, “A few years ago, a talented pianist appeared out of nowhere. Her name was Yoya. Her performance was superb and unparalleled in the world. Moreover, she had never shown her true face to anyone. She always wore a veil when holding recitals. Rumor has it that she was extremely ugly. Later on, she held two recitals and disappeared. Her name can no longer be found on the international piano stage.”

It was Alexandra’s first time hearing the name Yoya

She couldn’t help but think about what kind of person she was, who was even more legendary than Veronica.

She said inwardly, “Julian liked the piano so much. Had Julian also heard of Yoya?”

And she kept asking, “Where did she go?”

Emery shook her head and answered, “I don’t know. No one knows. There’s very little news about her on the Internet. She’s like a fairy who came to the human world to shine and then returned to where she belongs, right?”

Alexandra replied, smiling. “It’s not that magical!”

“It’s true. I’ve heard a little live recording of her on the internet. It’s amazing! No one can surpass her. She only released one CD a few years ago, only there were hundreds of them, and the collectors bought them all long ago. I couldn’t buy them even if I wanted to.”

Looking at Emery’s adoring expression, Alexandra began to feel curious about this Yoya.

She thought, “Julian had collected so many piano CDs. Would there be Yoya’s CDs?”

As the two chatted, it was time for Kelly’s rehearsal.

The stage was empty.

There was only a black piano.

Only a few spotlights were left on the vast stage.

Kelly sat on the piano bench and began to rehearse.

Alexandra was looking forward to the track Kelly was going to play.

However, she suddenly felt a sharp pain in her eardrums when Kelly had only played a few notes. Even her head started to ache.

She swiftly covered her ears with both her hands.

“Alexandra, what’s the matter?” Emery noticed her abnormality and quickly held her shoulders.

Alexandra was covering her ears and shaking her head. She did not know what was wrong with her.

She felt that those hotes were like sharp blades that struck her soul.

It was also as if her soul had already shattered into pieces, and these notes seemed to want to burn her to ashes.

Her head began to hurt violently and endlessly.

She tried to let go of her ears and continued to hear notes and melodies flowing into her eardrums. The notes hit her heart like hammers.

She fell suffocated as her heart raced.  Sᴇaʀ*ᴄh the (F)indNƟvᴇl.ɴet website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

Chapter 53

“Emery, I’m feeling a little unwell ( leave first

Ignoring Emery, Alexandra got up and Ich the rehearsal room

She covered her ears and ran out of the rehearsal room when the bumped into Willia

ling over from outode

William was surprised to see her. “Alexandra, you’re here to watch the rehearsal too? What’s wrong? You don’t look too good”

Alexandra’s head was hurting piercingly, and her ears were ringing. Her expression was not good either

She let go of her ears but still felt the buzzing in her eardrums.

However, her breathing was finally smoother. She shook her head and answered in a weak voice, “I’m fine, Mr. Jolston.”

Upon seeing Alexandra’s frighteningly pale face, William looked worried. “Are you feeling unwell? Shall accompany you to the infirmary?”

Alexandra shook her head and ran away.

William was about to chase after her when Emery came out.

He asked worriedly. “What’s wrong with Alexandra? She doesn’t seem to be feeling well.”

Emery answered, “I don’t know either, I’ll check on her. Mr. Jolston, you can keep rehearsing. Don’t worry.”

At this moment, Martha walked out of the back door with a cup of coffee. Looking at the scene, she sneered, “Bitch.”

Alexandra ran to the sports complex and squatted on the ground for a while before her breathing recovered.

She said goodbye to Emery and went home.

When she got home, there was no one in the living room.

The maids were preparing dinner in the kitchen when Ruth came out with a bowl of porridge. She saw Alexandra and greeted, “Mrs. Alexandra, welcome

home.”

Alexandra was still a little listless as she asked, “Thanks, Ms. Rivera. Where’s Grams?”

“Mrs. Josephine’s stomach hasn’t felt well these past few days. I made her some grits. And I’ll get her some traditional medicine tomorrow.”

Alexandra was slightly worried when she heard that Josephine wasn’t feeling well. She said, “I’ll send it up to Grams.”

“Okay, thank you, Mrs. Alexandra.”

Alexandra brought the grits to the second floor and knocked on the door.

Pushing the door operi, Josephine Ranford, half–lying on the bed, was slightly surprised to see Alexandra.

Alexandra walked over with grits. “Grams.”

“Alexandra, you’re back from school” Josephine put down an old book of poetry and took off her reading glasses.

“Yes Grams, if your stomach still not feeling well?” Alexandra remembered that last night, Josephine had once felt uncomfortable in the middle of the night

Josephine smiled and shook her head. “It’s a lingering ailment. I’m fine.”

Alexandra placed the porridge on the table and looked at the white haired Josephine. She didn’t know where she got the inspiration and courage from, but she said to her, “Grams, have some porridge I’ll give you a massage”

Actually, Alexandra did not know how to massage. She just felt uncomfortable in the school’s rehearsal room and felt a little depressed for no reason, s0 she did not want to go back to her room alone

Chapter 57

“Oh? Do you know how to massage Josephine was suspicious.

Alexandra scratched her head and said honestly. “Not really I remember that

tother’s health gam ́t

good in the past often massaged

her, and she always said that she felt much better”

Josephine immediately understand

She did not dampen Alexandra’s enthusiasm but patted the bed and said, “Come, sit down and give me a massage

Alexandra took off her backpack and placed it on the chair. Then, the eat by the bed

She lifted the thin blanket on Josephine’s lap and was shocked by her own actions.

But soon, some particularly clear clues flashed through her mind. She needed to massage her feet

It would be very beneficial for people with weak stomachs to massage their feet.

Josephine was curious about what she would do next.

Alexandra looked up at Josephine and said embarrassedly, “Grams, I’m not really good at massaging. Tell me if you’re not feeling well

“Sure, go ahead.”

Following the vague clues in her memory, Alexandra thought for a moment and placed her small hand on Josephine’s left foot

First, she rubbed it gently for a few seconds. Then, as if she had touched the right place, she began to knead it with her thumb.

In the beginning, Josephine felt a swelling pain coming from her feet, but it soon stopped hurting. Instead, it felt very comfortable

She looked down at Alexandra, who was massaging carefully. “Where’s your grandmother?”

Alexandra looked up and pursed her lips. “She passed away a few years ago.”

“Oh” Josephine didn’t ask again, afraid that she would upset Alexandra.

Alexandra did not mind and continued, “My grandmother is very nice. She’s the person who treats me the best in the world. Hehe, I still think of her

often.”
