Frank thought, “Can it be that the boss met a woman?”
Frank said, “The young lady doesn’t look like a local. She’s probably going to a relative’s house. She might be waiting for a car”
“Is there a car here?”
Julian glanced at the dilapidated street.
Frank said, “Yes.”
Then, he pointed at an electric tricycle that passed by.
Julian was speechless.
Julian saw that Alexandra really ran up to stop the rider of electric tricycle.
When the tricycle stopped, Alexandra said something to the middle–aged man riding it. In the end, the middle–aged man gestured a few times.
Alexandra pouted and walked back to the side of the road.
The tricycle drove away.
Julian shook his head, not willing to look at her.
Frank drove the SUV over, and Julian got into the backseat.
When they reached the main road, Julian couldn’t help but say, “Frank, stop the car and ask her if she wants to tag along”
Frank was quite surprised and wondered, “When did his boss become so nosy?”
Just as Alexandra was desperate, a high–end off–road SUV appeared in front of her.
The driver’s window opened. Frank turned around with a faint smile on his face. “Young lady, where are you going? Do you need a ride?”
Alexandra couldn’t see Julian in the backseat. She didn’t want to take their car, but she couldn’t possibly walk to Greenville on her own two legs, right?
After squirming for a moment, Frank said, “If you don’t want to take the ride, we’ll leave first.”
“Of course I do! Thank you, bro! I’ll pay for the car ride!”
“It is better to lose face than be exhausted,” Alexandra thought.
Alexandra quickly ran to the front passenger seat, opened the door, and jumped in.
She did not want to sit with Julian in the back.
Frank asked her, “Where are you going?”
“Greenville, Alexandra replied.
Julian wasn’t too surprised. From the moment he saw her in the hotel, he knew who she was looking for.
The only thing he doubted was how she’d gotten the information.
He had sent Frank out for so long, but Frank had only just found some clues.
“How on earth did she know?” Julian wondered.
Frank nodded meaningfully and glanced at his boss through the rearview mirror.
Seeing that Julian did not speak, he did not ask further.
He drove the car away.
4 to 5 miles was a long distance in such a remote place, but it was not an issue for them, who had a car.
As the dirt road in the village was a little bumpy after crossing the highway, Frank had to drive at a low speed.

Alexandra suddenly felt the air pressure in the car drop.
She held the leather seat and thought to herself, “Julian, please don’t speak.”
“Alexandra, why are you here?”
What she was afraid of came true. Julian’s deep voice sounded from behind.
Alexandra’s scalp went numb. She pursed her lips and whispered, “I’m here to look for Ace. My friend told me that there might be news about him
here.”
“Oh! Did you eavesdrop on my call?” Julian did not believe that a girl like her could have such a resourceful friend.
Alexandra could not take it anymore and thought, “What right does he have to suspect her?
“Anyway, this isn’t Highclere City. Why does she have to grovel in front of him?”
She turned around and glared at Julian. “Mr. Ranford, I know you’re very capable, but you’re not the only one who can get the information!”
“Your friend? You have such a capable friend?” Julian asked.
“Of course! If I had known that my friend was so capable, I wouldn’t have agreed to your terms back then.” Alexandra still felt a little uncomfortable when she mentioned this.
Alexandra felt a little empty when she thought that she hadn’t known Julian.
Julian was stunned by her words.
It was an indescribable feeling.
“Does she hate him that much?
“Has she forgotten what he had done for her?
“Indeed an ungrateful girl!” Julian thought.
Seeing that Julian was silent, Alexandra turned her head away.
Frank came up to the car and continued driving towards the village.
As the car moved slowly, Frank asked Alexandra, who was beside him, “Miss, who are you looking for?”
“Oh, I’m looking for someone called Jacob Cameron. He’s a patient that Ace Fulton treated before he disappeared. I want to see if he knows anything about Ace. I’m looking for Ace.”
Alexandra knew that there was no need to lie to Frank.
She told the truth.
Anyway, Julian already knew.
Frank was a little confused. This girl was not simple.
Seeing that the boss was silent, he could only say, “So the person we’re looking for is the same.”

A woman in her 40s or 50s walked out of the house with a pail of water and saw a few strangers in the courtyard.
“Who are you looking for?” The woman looked kind and asked.
Frank stepped forward. “Hello, we’re looking for Jacob Cameron”
“Why are you looking for my father–in–law?” The woman looked puzzled when she heard that they were looking for Ace.
“There are some matters regarding Ace Fulton, a famous doctor, I would like to ask Jacob about it.”
The woman poured water into the sink and said to them, “My father–in–law is awake, but I’m afraid he won’t be able to help you.”
When the woman brought them to the room where Jacob was, they understood what the woman had said.
Jacob was sitting on the bed. His eyes were dull and he was drooling.
He held a peeled orange in his hand and smiled foolishly.
