Jullan was speechless. “Lisa, do you think I’m a criminal?”
Lisa stared at him. “Shut up!”
Alexandra still could not accept the way the cousins interacted with each other. Lisa was like a small bomb. However, it seemed that she was very close to Julian. Otherwise, she would not be so unrestrained in front of him.
This was the first time Alexandra had seen someone speak to Julian like this.
She explained on behalf of Julian, “Lisa, Mr. Ranford doesn’t bully me. He treats me very well. Look, when I got injured in an accident, he even pushed me out for a walk and cooked for me.”

After Julian left for the kitchen, Lisa and Alexandra sat on the sofa and chatted.

“Lisa, I’m not. I haven’t!” Alexandra quickly retorted.
Lisa smiled and patted her head. “It’s best that you don’t. Otherwise, you’ll suffer.”

Then, she smiled and sat down on the edge of the sofa, telling herself that it was all fake.
Her life had nothing to do with Julian’s.
Lisa rented a premium single apartment.
Julian let her off at the entrance of her neighborhood. Lisa carried her little square bag and had just taken two steps when she suddenly turned
around.
She said to Julian, who had the driver’s window open, “Julian, don’t bully Alex! If I find out that you bullied her, I’ll be the first to not let you off!”
Julian glanced at her. “Lisa, whose cousin are you?”
“I’m Alex’s biological sister! Between my biological sister and my cousin, who do you think I’m closer to?”
Julian could not be bothered with her. He started the car and left.
Lisa was still nagging. “Julian! Take good care of her! Do you hear me?”
When Julian returned home, he saw Alexandra still sitting in the living room.
Alexandra saw him and smiled. “Mr. Ranford, you’re back so soon? Is Lisa home?”
“Yeah. Why aren’t you resting yet?”
Julian walked over and saw that she had already cleaned up the trash on the coffee table.
Alexandra said, “I slept too much in the afternoon. I can’t sleep.”
“Oh.” Julian stood in front of her. “Then you—”
Before Julian could finish speaking, Alexandra’s phone rang.
She picked up her phone. It was a call from William Jolston.
“It’s already past nine o’clock. Why was he calling?” Alexandra thought.
She picked up the phone. “Hello? Mr. Jolston, what’s the matter?”
“Alex, are you sick? met Emery this afternoon and she said that you took a week off. What happened?”
“Oh, I’m fine. I just caught a cold. I’ll be fine after resting for a few days.”
“Is anyone taking care of you? Did you take any medicine?”
“I’ve taken my medicine. Mr. Jolston, don’t worry. Thank you for your concern.”
“That’s good. I was going to treat you to a meal with the prize money from the welcoming party when you came!”

“Okay, then rest early and drink more hot water. Don’t use the air conditioner.”
