Alexandra looked at him in shock and blinked. “I-”

Alexandra did not think it was a big deal. Anyway, Julian would not give up on investing in the Connolly family just because she did not like Martha. 

He was a businessman. He would invest in the Connolly family since he had decided that the investment opportunity was profitable. 

Alexandra mustered her courage and said, “I accidentally saw the financial news today. Mr. Ranford, did you invest in the Connolly Group?” 

Julian was surprised that she paid attention to financial news. He probably knew what she was hesitating about. 

Although he did not tell her that Martha was behind the night of the welcoming party, he knew that Alexandra did not like Martha.
