The rest of the week that we had before Samantha contacted us again, Loveless was teaching me hand on hand combat. Jason was still learning his magic, wolf form and swordsmanship. When I got the message of when and where we were meeting, I was actually sparring with Loveless, while Jason was sparring with Alex. Of course Alex and Jason were sparring with swords and Loveless and I were sparring with our hands. I was holding up well with Loveless and Jason was beating Alex when Nikki came out with a note in hand.
“Guys! Another letter from Samantha!” All four of us stopped and saw her. Harrison and Christina were behind her. I walked towards her and grabbed the letter. It read:
Jay,
Meet Vincent and I in the dimension we last saw each other tomorrow at 1PM. Loveless will be able to get you there.
See you then,
Samantha
The note was short and sweet. I handed it to Loveless to read.
“She wants us to meet her tomorrow in that crazy world you saved me from.” I said to Loveless, but I was really saying it more for the benefit of the others to know what was going on.
“As predicted, Jason, Jay, you two will not be able to use your magic there, but we still have a chance.” Loveless said.
I sighed. “I can still shift there, so I am not completely magic-less there. I can do more than just hand on hand so we have an advantage.”
Loveless cut me off. “She knows and has accounted for it. That is why Vincent is coming along, he is good with swords. But we still have an advantage, but it is with numbers because Jason is going with us.” I nodded to her statement. We sort of had a plan, but nothing set in stone, just fighting.
“Let us rest until tomorrow.” Jason said breaking the conversation. We all just chatted and spent time with each other and relaxed for the first time in a long time.
Eventually like all days, it ended. Jason and I went to my room. When we got there, I saw a vile on my nightstand. I walked towards it and saw a note underneath it. I opened the fold piece of paper and read it.
Jay,
Be careful. Nikki is worried about you so take this vile with you. In case of Emergency drink this. The potion you took about 6 years ago just suppresses vampirism, it did not take it away. If you drink my blood, it will turn you back. I know Jason hated you as a vampire so only in an emergency, okay? Take care, and come back safe.
Alex
I smiled as I put the paper back down. I picked up the bottle and read the label. It just read “In Case of Emergency” I laughed.
“What is it?” Jason asked as he walked my way, he was distracted with getting ready for bed when I was looking at the bottle and such.
“Alex, he gave me something. He said it is for in case of emergency.” I laughed.
“Jay, we can still back out of this you know?” my smile faded after he said that.
“I cannot back down now.”
He sighed. “I didn’t want to tell you this, but...” he paused. “Nikki saw you die in a vision. That is why they are so worried. I’m worried too.”
I paused and thought for a moment. “B-but, Loveless..” I paused again trying to get all my words together. “Loveless can see the future better than any psychic. If she saw me die, I think she would have saved me or would have at least get us to a point where we can change it.” I was trying to be optimistic and keep us positive to do this tomorrow.
“Okay, I will trust you. Just make sure to bring that tomorrow.” He kissed my forehead. “Now let’s go to bed.” He said softly and laid down. I magically changed my clothes and then joined him. He pulled me in his arms and we laid there till we fell asleep.
