Chapter 18: Finalizing Decisions

A few days have passed since Roxy had told Evie and “Victoria” about her being pregnant with Jason’s baby. It has also been a few days that Eliza had started wondering about her parents. When she first met them, she was known as Victoria Queen and not as Elizabeth Winters. At Sophia’s Sweet 16 party, her parents seemed to love Sophia with so much passion it made her wonder as to how they would react if they saw her, and knew her as Elizabeth and not Victoria. It was a Thursday, and school was out; Eliza had her platinum blonde hair in a ponytail while wearing a dark maroon tank top, a black, glittery, high-low sweater, some metallic, silver leggings, black heeled boots, and a rose gold bow.

Before the limo came, she wanted to talk to Evie first. Evie was wearing a pair of hunter green jeans, brown, furry boots, an emerald green, lace blouse, and her black and green hair was down and straight.

“Evie, I need to talk to you,” she said.

“Sure, what is it?” asked Evie.

“Can I tell you at your house? There are some things that I need to get from home?” she asked.

“Okay, meet you at my house in twenty minutes,” said Evie before stepping into her car and closing the door.

*Eliza’s P.o.v*

When the limo came to a stop, I got out and thanked the driver before heading inside the house that’s a mansion. Once I entered, my nose started to burn for the smell of alcohol was in the air and I hated it.

“He’s drunk again,” I thought to myself as I closed the front door and covered my nose until I reached my bedroom. Once I was inside my bedroom, I closed the door and went to my closet and took out the tiara I had worn to Sophia’s Sweet 16. I actually saw my real parents that day, but they didn’t see me... Snapping out of my thoughts, I took the tiara and placed it in my satchel before disappearing and meeting at Evie’s house with 2 minutes to spare. When I got to Evie’s front door, I knocked and waited for her to come open it. When she came and opened the door, I walked into the house as she closed the door.

“So, what is it you wanted to talk to me about?” she asked as she sat down on the couch.

“Well, I’ve been thinking over things ever since I came to Sophia’s Sweet 16 birthday. During that time I saw my birth parents for the first time, but they didn’t know it was me, so maybe it’s time that they know. I’m ready for them to know that their daughter is alive.” I said.

“I’m so glad, but how will you convince them that it’s really you?” she asked then I brought the tiara out of the satchel.

“I was thinking maybe this tiara would help somehow, or I’ll know when I get there. Either one.” I said while placing the tiara back inside.

“Okay, well then, let’s go.” she said. She grabbed the flower gem from behind their family portrait and had accessed the portal to Tynix. After we went in, we had arrived at the front of the palace gates. After so many visits to Tynix, I noticed that I don’t need to change my hair from platinum blonde to my natural black cause it changes by itself. I guess in a way the magic world knows that platinum blonde isn’t my real hair color. Anyways, Evie told the guards that she was here to see the royal family, and since she is a part of the royal family they let her in with me as her guest. When we entered the palace, we went to the throne room, where we found Sophia and the royal family on their thrones waiting.

Queen Amber stood gazing out the window of her luxurious palace bedroom, while holding a picture of Elizabeth as a baby. She was so caught up in thinking about her that she hadn’t heard her husband come into the room and come up behind her, wrapping his hands around her slim waist.

“What are you thinking about my love?” he asked.

“I just can’t help, but to be worried about Elizabeth. We don’t even know if she’s okay or where she is or if the family is treating her well.” she complained while clutching onto the picture tightly.

“Honey, I understand how you feel. I wonder about her everyday. Like how she’s holding up and if her powers are under control, but the only thing we can do is wait and hope that she’s fine and that she’ll return to us one day.” he said, then she soon took a deep sigh. He kissed her forehead and rested his chin on her head, making her smile.

“What would I do without you?” she asked him, making him chuckle. After a while, a guard knocked on the door.

“Come in.” said King Henry, then in came one of the royal palace guards.

“Your majesties, your niece, princess Evie, has requested the presence of the royal family in the throne room.” said the guard.

“Okay, tell them we’ll be right down there.” said Queen Amber, and then the guard left to do as he was told.

*Eliza's P.o.v*

“Aunt Amber, Uncle Henry, nice to see you again,” said Evie while doing a polite curtsy.

“It’s good to see you too, Evie.” said King Henry.

“My friend, Victoria, wanted to tell you something.” she said.

“What is it?” asked Queen Amber, giving me the permission to speak. I stepped forward, and took out the tiara from the satchel.

“When I was last here, you told me about you giving away your daughter,” I started.

“What?! You’re giving me away? How could you?!” exclaimed Sophia.

“Your other daughter, and how the symbol on this tiara was the family crest. Last time I came here, you only knew me as Victoria and not by my real name.” I continued.

“What’s your real name then?” asked King Henry. I took a deep in before saying the very thing that might change my life for the better.

“My real name is Eliza or formally, it would be known as Elizabeth. You gave me this before sending me to Earth.” I finished. Then, both the king and queen smiled while Sophia just sat there.

“Wait, I’m not the first born? I’m not the heir to the throne? I’m Not an only child?!” she yelled.

“Nope.” said Evie while popping the p. Queen Amber and King Henry walked down and took a look at me.

“She has our eyes, your hair, your skin tone and mine mixed together, but mostly yours, and I can see the flames in her eyes that burn with ambitious spirit.” said King Henry.

“Yeah, but does she have the birthmarks?” asked Queen Amber. Then, they checked my wrists, back, forearm, and neck. In those places were a snowflake birthmark on my right wrist and upper back, a star on my left wrist, a moon on my right forearm, and a dragon on my neck, but it was a mini dragon.

“She does, she really has them.” said King Henry, then soon I was engulfed in a bone crushing hug by Queen Amber, my real mother.

“Can’t breathe.” I gasped.

“Oh, sorry sweetie, it’s just we missed you so much, and now you’re here, safe and unharmed. We should throw a ball as a welcome home gesture of your return.” said Mom while giggling.

“Indeed. I’m sure the kingdom would be happy to know that their future queen has returned.” said King Henry. Wow, I should really start calling them "Mom" and "Dad" now, instead of using formalities.

“Future queen?!” exclaimed Sophia.

“Yes, dear. Elizabeth is 17 years old and first born, therefore she’s going to be queen when she turns 23 or 25, but when she turns 18, she’ll have the title as crowned princess.” explained Queen Amber. Ugh! I mean Mom.

“What about being Victoria and your adoptive dad?” asked Evie.

“I’ll deal with him when we get back seeing as how my adoptive mom is dead and all.” I said in a solemn tone.

“How did she die?” asked Evie.

“Plane crash to London a few months ago.” I said.

“I wonder how Christina and the others will react.” said Evie.

“They’ll probably flip their crowns over it.” I said while smiling.

“Sweetie, I want you to tell us all about the two people who raised you.” said Amber, and then I felt my once smiling face fall into a frown.

“Maybe later, now isn’t the right time.” I said and Evie agreed with me, and so my mother understood and approved, deciding not to rush me.

“How’s your magic coming along?” asked King Henry.

“Amazing actually, thanks to Evie, Aunt Eva, and Uncle Eric.” I said.

“That’s wonderful news, I was beginning to think that you hadn’t started getting the hang of them yet.” he said.

“Now, how about we show you to your bedroom.” said Queen Amber. As we walked down the halls, I saw family portraits, single portraits of the stars, and even portraits of the family crest. When we made a right turn, we stopped at a set of silver double doors.

“This is your bedroom.” said Mom as she swung open the doors, revealing a cobalt blue and silver queen sized bed that had gold and black pillows, a diamond chandelier, an ocean blue and black vanity, mirror, and chair, a window seat that had some silver pillows placed on it, a balcony, and a flat screen Samsung TV. In the bathroom was a master suite with and ocean theme that was glittery with musical tiles that would make sound when you stepped on them, and the closet was an entire room itself with two floors, one floor for shoes, purses, and accessories, and the second floor was for makeup and outfits that were arranged into two sections; one section by season and the other section for formal outfits.

“Wow, this place is amazing! And it’s my favorite color! I love it, thank you.” I gasped while smiling, giving my amazing parents a hug.

“So how does it feel to be home again after so long?” asked Evie while sitting on the bed.

“It feels amazing to be with my own kind, not having to hide my powers or have people call me a freak or a monster anymore. I can stop hating myself for being different cause I’m finally where I belong.” I said, truthfully.

“I’m glad to hear that. Hey, you know what?” asked Evie.

“What?” I asked only to be hit with one of the many fluffy pillows that were in the room.

“Pillow fight!” exclaimed Evie and then in bursts of laughter, the pillow war began.
