Ro

I didn’t really sleep last night. I was up all night trying to figure out why I couldn’t talk to my wolf. When Max woke up, I told him and he told me about everything, “I can’t believe I lost my wolf. And I won’t be able to shift anymore like ever again” I said crying and hugging Max, I thanked him for telling me the truth. I went into the bathroom to check on my wound, but it was fully healed besides the three claw mark scars starting from under my breast to my belly button. I took a shower and got dressed in stretchy shorts and a sports bra. I went to look for Max, but he was nowhere to be found, no one was. *hey, the Shadow pack, and the Red Crescent pack are meeting the wolves that are bringing this war to us to buy you time to get stronger* Max said through our link, and it pissed me off *and where are you* I asked him *I’m with the Black Paw pack getting more supplies* he responded. There was nothing I could do to stop them, so I might as well get to work on getting stronger.

They have been gone for a few days, and Max isn’t responding to me, I’m getting worried. I have been training day and night and surprisingly I have gotten a lot stronger than I was before, you know when I had my wolf. I think it’s the fear of losing my home and the people I care about that’s pushing me. They have been gone for almost two weeks now, and I’m debating on going after them or not. Just as I’m about to go out for a run someone busts through my front door “whoever you are, you might want to leave” I said out loud. All I got in return was a deep laugh, I turned the corner “MAX” I yelled then ran and jumped on him. To which he caught me with ease, we kissed almost instantly we stayed like that for a few minutes, and I was planning on staying like that for a lot longer. That was until I heard others walking in, it was the other packs “you all came” I said in disbelief, and everyone laughed “you’re our Queen, all you need to do is call plus we already signed up for this war of a lifetime” Alpha Philip said with a smile. I smiled back and watched as all the Lunas walked in going to their mates’ sides. “We will fight by your side Alpha King and Luna Queen” Alpha Jacob said, and everyone nodded their heads in agreement.

This fight will be the biggest to come known to our kind and others like us. All we must do now is sit and wait, we have no idea how many there are and what pack or packs have turned their backs on us. All I know, I’m not giving up until my last breath and that goes for everyone else who has decided to fight with us.

All the women and children have dozed off making us Alphas and men more on edge. This battle may or may not alter everything we know and love. All I know is I’m going to fight for my family, my people and the ones I care for most. I gently rubbed Ro’s back, when I did she pushed her self-closer to me causing me to smile. That’s when I heard, it was low and almost quiet. The other Alphas heard it along with some warriors and trackers, as they shot up to their feet. “Quickly wake the girls and the others” I said, and they nodded keeping an eye on all the entrances. When I got Ro up we shared a short but passionate kiss before we got ready to fight. We made our way to the front, back and sides of the pack house. Everyone took their stances as the rogues and the Demon paw pack emerged from the tree lines. I looked over at Ro, all I could see was fear written all over face, but it quickly changed to anger. I reached over and took her hand in mine; I could feel her anger “this is my old pack” she said through gritted teeth. I looked next to Ro and saw Nelly and Norman with the same expression. *Ok everyone listen up the pack that has betrayed us is the Demon paw pack, I want everyone to be careful they don’t fight fair or clean* Ro said through our pack link. She looked at me and smiled, I smiled back *I love you Ro, I always have* I said through our link. *I love you too Max, we will win this fight I know we will* she replied, and I nodded in agreement. Let’s get this started shall we, the only problem, no one is taking a single step or making a single move.

Just as I was about to start this war cries could be heard from the back. I went straight for the Demon paw packs Alpha, Alpha Marcus. I’m coming for you, you bastard. I tackled him to the ground and our fight began, I zoned out everyone but Ro and my uncle. After a few minutes of us wrestling, swing after swing, we landed punch after punch on each other. The only difference, I was stronger than him, so I came out as the victor in this one on one. Now the only problem, the rogues won’t give up. Ro and I met up and decided to stick together like the other wolves with mates, not wanting to lose one another. The fight raged on for hours, we took them out one by one, but they kept coming. We had some injured, but our healing abilities were able to keep up thank lord. This fight went on until the next day around midday Alpha Carson took down the last one with some help from his mate.

It’s finally over, or at least for now it was, everyone went in and got their wounds treated. Ro and I were walking past the head warrior and tracker of the Shadow pack Adam and Austin, “damn Luna Queen, even after getting your ass handed to you, you managed to pull that win off. You are one strong woman.” Adam said and Ro just laughed and kept walking. After everyone had showers, we all sat down to eat and talk about the fight.
