Caught you with who?” Nadia asked as she immediately turned to her mate. Vance’s head was hanging low and so she helped him lift it. She needed to see his face clearly. Was he cheating? Was that why Iris left him? 

Vance whipped his face with his palm as he faced her. Even if he cheated, he looked like he was remorseful and that counted for something right? She thought. Maybe Iris saw something in his that must have caused her to leave but she was in no position to try and find out. That was Lovers fight and none of her business, she just had to manage herself as Iris for the mean time as she figured out what she was going to do next. 

Vance sniffed his nose and then clenched his fist as he punched them into each other. It looked like he was getting ready to speak. She watched him closely. 

“You saw me with the beta wolf’s sister one night under the oak tree. You saw us in a compromising position and you must have assumed the worst of us. I apologize for that but that actually wasn’t what happened” he said as he gently grabbed her hand. He started to rub it and pat it lightly. He did both actions simultaneously as he took a deep breath and got ready to speak again.

Vance nodded as he took a second to exhale. 

“I was with you here that night when I decided to go out for some air. I think it was after you and I had an argument of some sort. I can’t really remember but something caused me to get out, needing fresh air. You said you would go to bed and I nodded as I walked out. I was out there breathing the fresh air and enjoying the wind when I decided to take a stroll” he said as he moved his hands. Nadia noticed Vance was one to always

I went into the bushes and started to sniff around and that was when I tracked it down. Something or as I would like it, a strange figure was in the bushes. crying” he scratched his head. 

“I saw that and I needed to know why and so I went further. I went to investigate and as I gained closer on the stranger figure. I soon discovered it was a woman. I thought she was a stranger but when I got closer, I could sense that her scent was familiar and so I decided to help, I went a tad closer again and touched her. When I turned her to see who she truly wasn’t, I discovered she was my beta wolf’s sister. I was a little shocked as I wanted to know why she was out in the bushes crying at that time of the night.” He said as he shrugged. 

“When I asked her, she refused to speak, she instead kept on crying. I waited for her to calm down but I think seeing me made her cry more. It was an outpour, I tell you” he shrugged again. Nadia couldn’t help but smile. He looked really cute as he explained his
