“You did what!!!,” Eve yelled and I was startled and amused. It was the second time I was seeing her lose her composure now and I still couldn’t get used to it. 

“I tried to control it,I really did,” I stated. 

I had come to her room and asked after Rick,only to be told that he’s with Greyson. Apparently,he wanted to learn how to shoot arrows and Eve figured out that being with Greyson would be better. 

I had yelled at her,telling her that Greyson couldn’t be trusted. He could be the leader of the blood creek. She had argued,saying that he wouldn’t hurt Rick since he’s in this mansion. We had argued about it until I blurted out,saying how I broke Rielle’s nose. 

“You clearly didn’t try hard enough!,” she yelled again and I sighed. 

“I really did,Eve. I really did!. If you were the one she was speaking to the 

way she spoke to me,I can assure you,you wouldn’t have just let her go with a broken nose. You would’ve broken every part of her b*dy!. She just kept provoking me!!,” I explained. 

“You know that’s what she wants!. She wants you to lose your cool and make a mistake. According to you,she’s suspecting that you have powers. If this is true,then she’s just confirmed her suspicions. She was trying to test you !,I can’t believe you fell for that!,” she exclaimed. 

“And she taunted me with how she tortured my children. Preying on Rick’s softness and Kai’s love for his brother. She called me a very bad and careless mother,” I said. 

“You should’ve still kept your cool!!,” she yelled again and I sighed. 

“Yea. Sure,I admit, I fucked it up real bad. But you can’t blame me. She has really been getting on my nerves!. I think this power comes with a kind of fiery temper and I’ve always wanted to break her very perfect nose!,” I stated and she hissed. 

“Let’s just hope she doesn’t do anything terrible to you,” she said and I snorted. 

“There’s nothing she can possibly do,but fear me. I cannot be harmed, you know,” I said with a smile.

The investigation for her murder had been closed after a week. Lucien said it could be a thief and not what I was thinking because the house had been turned. upside down. 

“But we could leave him with Giselle,” I pointed out and she sighed..

She had told me that she secretly meets him at the outskirts of Silverpine. He couldn’t tell her their hideout,due to the oath he had to take as a member of the blood creek.They still didn’t mate because he wanted to protect her from their ‘Alpha‘

Apparently this blood creek leader has told all his members to refer to him as 

Alpha. Norman believes that he’d find out if he were to ever mark Eve or mate her and so he’s being careful. 

It was Norman who told her that they have my children and that was why she returned to Silverpine. It was also he who told her about what Rielle did to me,using Raymond and Sherry. 

It still hurts me whenever I remember that my very good friend Sherry was just a spy for Rielle. It was hard to believe that. And that Raymond was her brother!. 

So all along, I’ve been watched since I left Silverpine. That was how they figured. out that the children are Lucien’s. 

It was also Norman who told Eve that I was with Olivia and that was how Lucien found me. It hurts to know that they always know my movements, they knew 

where I worked,where my ren schooled, the places I visit,the people I see!. 

They knew about that potion!. It was a setup by Sherry!. They must’ve killed that innocent human, just to get to me. 

What I didn’t understand was why they hadn’t killed me. They had so many chances,but they didn’t. They have just been toying with me. And I’m all honesty,there was a lot I needed to understand. 

Like who the leader was?, why they kidnapped the Crone?,why they killed Rolan 

and Raven!. 

Rielle had said she killed Rolan herself because she was forced to prove her loyalty,but Eve said the people who saw the killer,said it was a man. Something was going on!. Something huge!. 

“What are you thinking about?,” Eve asked and I sighed. 

“Did you say something?,” 

“I’ve been asking you if you want to meet him?,” she said. 

I was about to say something when I saw Rick happily hopping on one foot towards us and I smiled. 

“My baby,” I said as he ran into my embrace. 

“Mummy,can I stay with Aunt Eve tonight?,” he said and I glanced at her.
