“Alpha we have a crises” Jayden said as he walked into my chambers worriedly.

“What is wrong?” I asked as I sat up on my bed.

“We lost two of our soldiers, I just got through news that their bodies were found floating on the river bank” he said and I cursed under my breath.

The killings had subsided for a few days and I thought we had gone passed all of this my hands moved over to my face as my eyes stung with tears.

“How is Derrick ?” I asked as I leaned on the couch.

I met with pack Elders who did not look happy that there was no change since the last death.

“You promised us that you had everything under control Alpha Xavier, acting all independent as not helped you in anyway!” Mr Roy bursted angrily.

“Xavier, we are not happy about the what is happening recently in the pack, people are dying at the boarder the people feel even more unsafe since the news of the death of the soldiers who are supposed to protect the people. If the soldiers are dying, what happens to the inhabitants of the pack?” The oldest Man amongst them asked.

“I listen to what each and everyone of you have said to me…” I trailed calmly.

“That does not mean you listen Xavier” he said and my heart squeezed in hurt as I growled angrily.

“Come up with a plan or step down from the throne” Mr Roy said angrily and we growled at each other angrily.

I made my way out of the conference room as anger rippled through my being, I screamed in pain as my bones began to break my clothes shred in pieces as I ran into the open fields and headed towards the forest.
