The ride to Xavier’s pack was a quiet one and immediately I got in, painful memories. and incident of my experience in the past came running into my brain.
My wolf whimpered in hurt and I sighed softly.
“I’m sorry Nala” I muttered under my breath and began to hope in my heart that the mask on my scent wouldn’t fade now that I was in his pack.
“Welcome Miss Anderson, it is good to have you here, The Al…” Jayden trailed and stopped on his track as his cheeks heated in embarrassment. I guess they had plans to hide their identity from me and he just made a mistake by saying Alpha in front of me.
“Mr Jason is inside and has been expecting your presence” he said smiling.
“Thank you….” I trailed acting like I had forgotten what his name was.

“Forgive my manners, I totally forgot” I said and he smiled.
“It is okay ma’am, it happens sometimes” he said and I smiled as we walked together towards the pack house together.
A lot have changed around here, especially the interior of the house. We got into the house and my eyes moved over to the omegas that walked around doing there duties.

“Have a seat ma’am, I will inform Mr Jason of your arrival” he said and walked upstairs.
I scrolled through my phone trying to keep myself busy before his arrival and it wasn’t long before I heard a gasp on the stairs.
“Emerald !” someone called in shock from behind me and I refused to turn towards the person. Doing that would confirm that I was Emerald and not Rachel.
“Emerald” she said again as she walked over to me with tears rolling out of her eyes as she pulled me into her arms.
“Excuse me ma’am you must be mistaken” I said as I stepped away from her, she raised her eyebrows in confusion.

“Aunt, she is Rachel Anderson and there is nothing like Emerald” he spat frustratedly and I looked away.
Xavier still held a strong grudge towards Emerald, if only he knew Emerald and Rachel were the same person.
“I apologise miss Rachel” Aunt said and I could see look of sadness in her eyes.

“I will excuse the both of you to talk” she said and left us alone.
“What should I offer you beautiful?” Xavier asked and I smiled.
“Water” I said and he looked at me in shock

She came back with our order and Xavier served me like a gentleman. After drinking a glass full of water, I turned just to notice him staring at me.
“What are you staring at? is there something on my face” I asked and he laughed.
“You are just so beautiful Rachel” he said and i laughed.
“XAVIER I was just drinking water, how can you say I look beautiful while drinking water? This is crazy” I said and he laughed.
“Beauty they say is in the eyes of the beholder” I said and he laughed.
“You are the beholder then?” I asked teasingly.
“Yes, and this beholder thinks the woman sitting in front of me is beautiful” he said and I smiled.
“It is high time you show me the way towards Derrick’s room” I said and he gave a nod.
“I did not tell him you were visiting, I wanted it to be a surprise” he said as he led me towards the stairs.
We walked towards the room and when the nanny noticed us in the room she bowed and open the door to Derrick’s room for us.
