PEMERALD POV?
“I don’t understand what you are trying to say father” I said and he stared at me in disgust.
“You did not return home last night after the Charity event, infact information reaching me stated that you left the venue with Xavier Jason” dad bursted angrily and I just stared at him wondering why he was overreacting.
“Dad…” I trailed.
“You let that man have access to your b*dy after everything he put you through !” he hit the table out of anger and I flinched.
“I don’t know why you are worked up about this dad, I am not a child. Sleeping with Xavier does not mean I am going back to him” I said and dad looked at me calmly.
“Going back to him should not be in your agenda in the first place, I will not accept it!” he said and I did not say anything to counter his words.
Saying anything to him might make him think his suspicions were right all this while.
“I gave you a life Rachel, think about that anytime you decide to go frolicking around with that bast ard !” he bursted angrily.
“I still think you don’t have the right to tell me who should have access to my b*dy and. who should not. This is a game !” I bursted angrily.
“Are you talking to me Rachel ?” he asked angrily.
“I am only stating a fact father” I said as my voice broke at the edge.
The argument with dad got really heated up and by the time he permitted me to leave. his office, I was already frustrated and sad.
How did it go?” Penny asked immediately I got into the room.
“Bad” I said and sat down on the bed with a thud.
“Dad kept talking over and over again without giving me a listening ear, I felt sick hearing him rant over and over again” I said she sighed.
“He is your father Rachel, and he is worried. That is what every reasonable father would do if their daughter happened to have an ex as cruel as Xavier” she said and I sighed.
“After your night together, What do you think?” she asked and I sighed tiredly.

“I did not think about anything Penny” I said and she looked at me in disbelief.
“What?” I shrugged.
“I just thought….” she trailed.
“Your thought are wrong babe, I can’t bring myself to forget everything that happened between us because we had mind-blowing S*x” I said and she sighed.
“It is your life, and I believe you know exactly what you are doing” she said and I smiled.
“Thanks, I am very tired and I need to rest before I get to work” I said and she smiled.
“Good luck, I also have something to do” she said and I watched her leave my room quietly.
“Hey” I received a text from Xavier and I dropped my phone without replying. I hate the fact that I got into a fight with my father because of Xavier, the man is not even worth it.
“He is not worth it?? and you wasted your time” Nala said mockingly.
“You are my wolf, the least you could do is to f ucking have my back” I cursed under my breath.
“We are one Emerald” she said and I sighed.
“Rachel” I said in anger.
“Emerald” she said spiting me on purpose.
“Nala, I don’t like it when anyone calls me by that name” I said and she sighed.
“Calling you Rachel would never change the fact that you are still Emerald, deep down you know it too” she said and I sighed.
My phone rang and I rolled my eyes thinking it was Xavier.
“Hello” I said immediately I picked the call.
“Rachel” he said and I took a deep breath in and out.
“Fernandez” I said and he sighed..
“Are you still mad at me about yesterday’s event?” he asked and I stayed quiet for some
time.
“You embarrassed me the minute you started a fight with Xavier and the fact that. you instigated the whole fight makes me feel sick” I said and he sighed at the other end.

“Let’s meet up at my place please” he said and I frowned.

“I don’t think that will be possible Gab, but I believe you can come over to my place if you really feel like” I said and he sighed.
“You are still mad at me” he said and I rubbed my forehead softly.
“It is not about being mad at you, I am very busy Gabriel” I said and he stayed silent on the other end for some time before he said what he wanted to say.
“Fine, we can just meet up whenever you feel like it” he said and I did not know what to say to that.
It is not like I enjoy hurting the guy or something but, I did not like the fact that he manipulated Xavier and ended up acting like the victim. Something just didn’t feel right about him at that minute.
I made a me ntal note to keep an eye on Gabriel Fernandez or maybe get to the back story of what happened between him and Xavier because, after what I said last night at the charity event, there’s more to that story than what the eyes sees.
“I will let you cool off for the mean time, we can talk later when you are no longer mad at me” he said and ended the call.
This whole revenge stuff was beginning to irk me already. Deep down am thinking about a lot of things, my sons, my dad and the trouble that awaits me when I eventually reveal myself as Emerald.
On a second thought, am beginning to regret my decision of sleeping with Xavier but then, all the positions he had me last night I’ll be dammed if I denied myself of that pleasure.
I might sound so loose right now but I can’t die because of some revenge that I’ll eventually have at the long run, if I did not do it.
Another enemy of his would end up doing what I intend doing.
? XAVIER POV?
I have not been myself ever since my encounter with Rachel the other night, I think about her every single time no matter how much I try not to think about her.
The minute we had S*x, I started to feel my suspicions was right all along. Rachel had too much similarities with my Ex mate Emerald.
Her moans and cries of pleasures mirrored the exact reaction I would get from

Aunt Maggie called her Emerald the first day they met, and up until now I still don’t know why I can’t stop comparing her to my Ex.
What if Emerald and Rachel was the same person? I wondered and groaned as my head banged with headache.
Even the thought of them being one person was scary to me. That is not possible, it’s been five years and Rachel was nothing like Emerald.
I got down from my bed and went out to get some water to drink, I had a lot of thoughts running through my mind.
“Son” Aunt Maggie called and I turned towards her direction.
“You are not sleeping yet?” she asked and I noticed her red night dress and a bottle of water in her hand.
“I can’t sleep aunt” I said and she sighed in pity.
“You see, I told you about amount of stress you have been giving yourself. It is not. healthy” she said and I nodded
“I’m sorry” I said and she gave me a motherly hug.
Ever since mom’s demise, aunt Maggie has been the mother figure in my life and I could tell her anything.
“Wanna talk about it?” she asked and I gave a nod.
“It is Rachel” I said and she stared at me.
“Your friend?” she asked curiously.
“We are dating aunt” I said and she tried to hide the shock on her face.
“She is a good woman” Aunt said calmly.
“I know, I’m just……” I said slowly.
“Just…?” she asked.
“She has a lot of similarities with Emerald” I said and aunt sighed.
“Maybe you are over thinking it son, it is not what you think it is” Aunt said and I stared at her calmly.
“You called her Emerald the first time you guys met, that means you also felt the same

I said and she shook her head.
“I was mistaken, Rachel was polite enough to have understand my silly mistake son” Aunt said and I sighed.
Maybe I was over thinking stuffs, thank goodness I did not call her Emerald after her encounter with aunt Maggie, that would have hurt her. After all, no woman would like to be referred to her boyfriend’s ex.
“Is that why you aren’t sleeping yet? Go to bed son” Aunt said and I smiled.
“I came out to get a bottle of water because I was thirsty” I said and she handed me the bottle with her.
“Here is a clean glass, drink and have some sleep. You are the Alpha and you have a duty towards the pack and it’s members” she said and I nodded my head tiredly in understanding.
