“Let me go back there and punch the living day lights out of him!” I bursted angrily and Jayden shook his head
“I don’t think that is necessary Alpha Xavier’ Jayden said and I could see it in his cycs. that he was pis sed off by my attitude. I mean he has never raised his voice at me like that, so the minute he bursted angrily, I knew he was f ucking serious.
“Gabriel Fernandez just humiliated me” I say gritting my teeth angrily.
“That would have been avoided if you didnt go all out of your way by fighting with him” Jayden said and I glared at him.
“The bitter truth is he wouldn’t be here if he did not have some kind of relationship with Rachel” Jayden said and that pis sed me off immediately.
“Being friends with my enemy is the last thing Rachel would do to me, I trust her” I and Jayden sighed.

“I’m not trying to say you shouldn’t trust your woman, what am trying to say is that Gilbert Fernandez would not come here to see her if they did not have any connection. Stop being love sick Alpha Xavier” he said and I was quiet.
I trusted Rachel with every cell in my b*dy, I don’t think she will be capable of hurting me in anyway. It is my duty to trust her, after all that is one of the things I failed to do in my past relationship with Emerald.
“Rachel is not a bad person, maybe I overreacted by fighting with Gabriel. I just can’t. stand that man” I said and looked away.
The day had been a long one and I was getting pi ssed off by thinking about everything that had happened during the day. When Rachel called me earlier today, she was driving and I could hear the fear in her voice as she told me she was in some kind of trouble. I tried to ask her what w ad happening and she told me she was been stalked by some people, I could hear the gunshots like I was present at the scene. I was able to track her location but by the time we got there, she had gotten into an accident. We were very lucky that she had only lost consciousness and sustained minor injuries, I can’t imagine what would have happened if I lost her.
The kids must be so scared wondering what had happened, I was in the middle of a pack meeting when the information reached me and I ran out of the house without thinking twice.
The doctor walked over to me and told me it was safe to see her now, I walked in her

ward and she stared at me with small smile playing on her l*ps.
“You are smiling” I said and she sighed softly.
“I’m alive Xavier, it is a privilege to be life, I should be happy” she said and I sat down as I held her hand.
“What exactly happened my love? I was scared I thought I lost you” I said and her eyes softened in my direction.
“I can’t remember what happened Xavier, the only thing I can remember is the fact that I was being followed and then boom everywhere went blank” she said and I k*ssed her forehead.
“I am sorry you had to encounter something like that” I said and she gave a nod.
The doctors discharged her after a few hours I was surprised that her father did not come to check on her at the hospital, but then her best friend insisted that he was not in the country at the moment.
“Mummy!” the boys shouted excitedly as they rushed over to us and hugged us.
“Are you okay now mom? We got the news that something happened to you, I was so scared” Damien said and Derrick give a nod in support.
“I’m fine my babies” she said and the boys decided to keep her company even when I took her to our room, I left them together and decided to get somethings done.
“How is she doing son? I heard what happened” Aunt Maggie said immediately we I got downstairs.
“She seems to be healing pretty fast, although she didn’t sustain much injuries” I said and Aunt Maggie gave a nod.
“I’m glad nothing happened to her, Rachel is a good woman. The last thing we want is to loose her after you’ve divorce Lina. She is the perfect match for the new Luna” Aunt said and I just smiled, I was too tired to say anything.
“How was it?” I asked Jayden and he sighed.
“Some of the Elders are still pis sed off that you left in the middle of the meeting, but I believe they will come around” he said and I sighed.
Leaving the meeting like that without giving them any reason was rude. The pack Elders already think I have been doing a terrible job as Alpha, I won’t be suprised if they wake up one morning with plans of changing me. It id not like they have the rights, but then those old men can be frustrating when they want to be.
Chapter 61
Everything in my life was going upside down presently, my company got burnt to the ground, the woman I love could have died and I don’t even know who attempted to take her life, that is even the craziest thing.
How can I ask her to trust me and my pack when I have not been able to protect the members of my own pack, that is even the most realistic thing.
Rachel did not have an easy life, she worked so hard to be where she is today. I mean she told me, herself how she had struggled to raise her son and her father’s company after things went bad between her ex and her. She is a strong woman and that is one of the things I admire about her. After discussing with Jayden on how to apologise to the pack Elders I went back to the room to check up on her.
The boys have returned to their rooms and she was sitting on the bed lost in thoughts.
“What is on my baby’s mind ?” I asked teasingly as I k*ssed her forehead.
“It’s nothing. I guess am just tired” she said with a beautiful smile on her face.
“Don’t think too much about the accident” I said holding her hand in support and she stared at me quietly.
“I just don’t understand why anyone would want to end my life, I mean what did I do to anyone to deserve something like that she asked and I felt terrible.
“I’m sorry baby, everything is going be fine soonest” I said and we both kept quiet, silence enveloped the room as we were both got lost in our thoughts.
?AUTHOR’S POV?
“The mission was to put an end to her life, not just minor injuries I am f ucking tired of seeing that woman’s face” Aunty Maggie said angrily.
“Mom, I would advice you stop taking things personal. Rachel is not someone you should be messing with, we did what we had to do to distract her not to kill her” Elroy said as he stood up.
“Xavier have seen this as an opportunity to get love up with Rachel, everyone keeps. annoying the living day light’s out of me, including their disgusting boys” she said and rolled her eyes.
“Like I said earlier, I just want you to play the nice Aunt Maggie. Xavier trusts you and sees you as mother figure, things should remain like that” he said and she sighed lightly.
“I’m only doing this to get you closer to your destiny. It is your destiny to lead the pack as Alpha Elroy” she said and Elroy smirked.

“Our dreams are just a few steps close to actualize it, It is up to us to continue doing what we are doing” he said and she gives a nod.
Deep down she could not wait for her son to take over the pack as the real owners.a She was tired of seeing her sisters son taking the reign as pack Alpha, it is annoying and sometimes she felt the urge to poison him to death. After all, it id very easy for her considering the fact that he loves her.
That would also be the perfect revenge to Carlos who preferred to decieve the entire pack, hiding the true identity of her son, making people feel Elroy and Xavier were cousins when in reality they are step Brothers.
The pack house was filled with more than enough secrets, after all Carlos had done too many wrongs. He built the pack in pure dirtiness the ba stard did not deserve to have a pack in his name.
She wished his legacy got burned down to the ground just like X constructions. As she picked the glass on the table and drank from if she felt bitterness spread in her heart.
Everyone and Everything could change but there id no way she would let their plans fail. Elroy must be pack Alpha, even if it means continuingly playing the perfect aunt and killing.
The people will not see it coming.
