“He cried in front of you? That must have been a lot to take in Jax’s mom said as I sat on their couch.

“At this point, I don’t know what is right and wrong anymore I just feel terrible” I said as I leaned my back on the couch.

“It is bound to happen, you guys have gotten even closer since you came as Rachel she said and I rubbed my face anxiously.

*Recently, I feel like there is more to everything I know and that is what scares me the most” I said and she stared at me calmly.

“So what do you want to do? Don’t tell me you want to allow weakness stop you from giving us all the revenge we truly deserve” she said and I could feel the anger in her voice.

I mean who won’t be pis sed off? She lost her legs and self respect just so Carlos could build his pack on the expense of her life, it’s painful.

“How is Lina?” I asked Jax who frowned his face.

Still unconscious, the doctor believes she would be like that till tommorow” he said and I sighed.

“She is lucky” Jax’s mom said and we both turned to her.

“If she happened to be human, with all I’ve heard so far she would not have survived it. Being a werewolf helped with the healing process” she said and I gave a nod.

“She is going to be so heartbroken, when she wakes up to hear the news of her losing her child’ Jax added and I sighed.

Loosing a child is one of the most painful experiences in the world, I still remember the pain I felt the night Xavier took my child away from me.

“What is on your mind ?”Jax asked.

“It’s nothing. Call me when she regains consciousness” I said and stood up wearing my shades as I made my way out of the house.

“You are quiet” I said and she shook her head.

“It’s nothing serious, I just have a lot on my mind” she said and I did not push further.

I was currently dressed in a black dress, hat and shades, with heels to match. We got down from the car and some guys walked over to us with black umbrellas as they walk us down to the grave yard.

Gabriel Fernandez have been put to rest in our absence, and I decided to come pay my last respects to an old friend. He was smart enough to have written his will, Fernandez gave everything to an orphanage.

“Gabriel….” I called as I tried not to choke on my words.

“I’m sorry you m had to die in the course of fighting for what is right. It pains my heart. because you did not deserve what happened to you” I said and tears rolled out of my

“I promise not to fail in this journey, I promise to bring an end to Carlos’s legacy. The red blood pack was built with the tears of innocent people, I will make sure it falls to the ground” I said and sniffed back tears.

“Farewell my friend” I said and wore my shades properly as I made my way out of the cemetery with Penny not far behind.

The ride back was a silent one as I tried to process everything that happened.

“Mummy” the kids ran into my arms Immediately I got into the pack house and Xavier sent me a gorgeous smile that made my heart doing a summersault.

“Hey my mummy” Xaiver said sweetly and I chuckled..

“We missed you mom” Damien said as he went ahead to telling me how they enjoyed themselves and where they went.

“Sometimes you act like your sons” I said and froze immediately realising my blunder.

“Damien is family as much as Derrick is, you didn’t say anything wrong” he said and k*ssed my cheeks, I nearly cried from the relief that he did not take it serious.

“You seem to be very busy these days” he said as we made our way towards our room.

“Work related” I lied and he gave a nod.

“Jayden and I were trying to see if we can come up with something new for the business” He said and I could hear the trust he put in me in his voice.

I don’t know if I should judge Jayden for backstabbing him when I was doing worse.

“That is huge” I said and he smiled genuinely, what made me more guilty was the fact that it reached his eyes.

“I can’t wait for all of this to be over soon, so we can get married” he said and he hugged me from behind. We stayed in that position as we talked about random stuffs.

We had dinner with the kids after which we decided to call it a night. As I tried to get some sleep, my mind kept thinking of the trouble ahead.

“Is everything alright love?” Xavier asked and I stared at him in shock.

“Babe….” I whined and he smiled.

“I’m sorry I startled you, I noticed you weren’t sleeping” he said and I sighed.

“I just couldn’t sleep” I said and he sat up.

“What is on your mind? Wanna talk about it?” he asked with concern.

“You are the sweetest boyfriend you know” I said and he chuckled.

“Come here” he said and pulled me into his arms as we fell asleep in each other’s arms.

“She’s healing pretty fast and that is a good one” The doctor said while Lina was quiet the entire time with unshed tears in her eyes.

“Like I said before you began the treatment…” I trailed and the doctor gave a nod.

“The news should not get out” he said and bowed before leaving.

My eyes moved over to Lina who was quiet the entire time, I guess she is still trying to overcome the trauma and shock.

“I lost it right?” she asked with her hand placed on her stomach.

“I’m sorry you lost it Lina” I said and she shifted away from me.

“I want to be left alone please” she muttured under her breath with a shaky voice.

“But…” Jax trailed.

“Please” she said as she cried.

‘I don’t want to talk to anyone just leave me alone!” she cried out and I signaled Jax that we should leave. He looked pissed off with the whole idea of leaving but end up following me.

“She thinks she has the rights to make request after we obviously saved her life” he said and I sighed.

“Her whole mind is messed up, we can’t get anything from her if we pressure her” I said. and he sighed.

“She is no saint” he said and I didn’t know what to say to that. Everything was happening too fast.
