“You are getting married to Rachel?” Aunt Maggie asked me as she stared at me in disbelief.

“I’m getting married to Rachel Aunt, why do you look so surprised?” I asked and she composed herself.

“I apologise sincerely for looking like I do not care about the love that you both share, the same love that has proved to be stronger than anything else in the world” she said with a smile on her face.

“Good” I said and turned to the file on the table.

“Don’t you think the kids should be here during the wedding? It is a union between you and their mother, and also an opportunity to tell them the truth about what happened in the past” she said smiling.

“That will not be necessary, we can always tell them after the wedding. The pack is not safe” I said and she took a deep breath in and out.

“Why will you even think that the pack is unsafe? you have you grew up in this pack Xavier” she said and I could see how unhappy she truly was.

Jax hid behind the door as he listened with rapt attention.

“And if we do not confront him, it will only give him enough reasons to continue with his evil ways” Andre said and Jax’s mother just continued crying.

“He continues with his actions because we are afraid to confront him” he said as she

“We need to stop your papa son, stay right here I will be right back” she said and ran out of the house.

Jax walked around the room as he tried not to worry about his mom and dad, but his mind could not comprehend the gravity of what was about to happen.

It was quiet late in the night, but he wore his room sl*ppers and followed in the same route that his mom took.

He was able to catch up with her. But what he saw, left him hiding behind the bushes. His father is in an heated argument with Carlos Jason.

“You will say no such thing to the rest of the pack, I am your Alpha and am sure your wife understands her duty towards this pack” Carlos said mockingly only for Andre to punch him over the face.

Things got heated up as they fought tirelessly, Carlos used the advantage of being an Alpha wolf as he ripped off Andre’s heart in front of his family.

Jax opened his mouth to scream but words refused to leave his throat, his mom screamed in pain as she ran over to Andre’s lifeless b*dy and tried to wake him up, which resulted in her entire b*dy covered in blood and nature took it as the best time to water the ground.

Carlos stared at her and walked into the darkness like none of that happened in front of him, Jax ran over to his mother.

“Dad….” he called as they both cried.

“He killed him…he killed him son, Carlos Jason killed him” she said, as the words choked down her throat and they both burst out crying.

****{ BACK TO PRESENT }****

I stared at him in shock as he continued to explain in detail, my eyes stung with unshed tears at the numerous of bad things my father had done in the past.

“That was not all, he continued to sleep with my mother against her will. That is how we got my youngest sister” he said revealing the deepest secret.

I did not know how to react to the fact that I had a step sister that I knew nothing about, a step sister that was concieved through abuse. How did this people bring themselves to even love and raise her like their own.

“Mother have gone through a lot in the hands of your father and his cruel act. She is currently on a wheelchair, and has been unable to use her legs for as long as I can remember” he said and I just stared him speechlessly.

“I….I apologise” I said and he gave a nod.

“You are not a bad man Alpha Xavier, but I have come to understand that you will need more than a good heart to rule these people.” he said.

“Most of them see me as a failure, It is not an easy job being the Alpha” I said and he nodded in understanding.

“I totally understand, but it is time to make everything right. Especially the wrong things Carlos did when he was still alive” Jax said and my mind went back to what Emerald told me.

“You are right, I want to meet your mom” I said and he stared at me in shock.

“But….” he trailed.

“I’m serious” I said and he stood up.

“This way” he said and led me towards the door.

The ride to their house was a quiet one. We got down from the car, and Jax led me towards the door.

“Good evening bro” the young girl said and stared at us in shock.

“Alpha Xavier” she said as she bowed in respect, I looked back at Jax and he gave a nod in agreement.

She is really my sister

“I want to see your mother” I said as we made our way inside the house. Their house was not rich or extravagant, just a normal house for middle class people in the pack.

“What should I offer you, Alpha” Jax asked calmly.

“Water” I said as I sat down quietly.

The young girl came back to the sitting room, helping her mother.

“Alpha Xavier” she said immediately she noticed me in the sitting room.

“It is a pleasure to meet you ma’am” I said, and she gave me a small smile although her eyes showed the level of hurt she had in her heart.

“Jax told me everything that has happened in the past, and I wanted to meet you physically and apologise for everything that happened, for the pains my father caused you and your family. I want to make amends, I want to make things right” I said and she

“You know I have waited for years, for someone to come and apologise to us for what Carlos put us through. But then, no one showed up, we had plans to ruin the pack Xavier but in the end, that would make us no different from your father” she said and I stared at her in shock.
