Chapter fourteen. Subtitle : her pains. *** still on Melanie's POV *** I began to panic immediately mother didn't respond to my call. I touched her neck to feel if she was still breathing. I confirmed that she wasn't dead and blew out an air of relieve. At least I know she was'nt dead. I wanted to remove the necklace but then after thinking it through I didn't. Who knows, may be grandma put it there for a purpose. Maybe it was performing some functions that were meant to be. Grandma certainly wouldn't kill her own daughter will she? It was best to get out of the house for now. I stood up from the bed and quickly took mother into my arms. Although the red light didn't die out completely it still shunned a little. I scooped mother into my arms with just a little difficulty. She wasn't heavy at all. She barely eats for a long time now and this has caused her to go skinny and disfigured. I sighed and turned towards the door walking towards it with her in my arms. I kicked opened the door as soon as I reached there and left the room walking down the stairs slowly. She leaped and leaped in tears and showed her palm to her mother. "she wants to kill me father! Do you believe me now when I told you the b*tch has turned to a witch? * She cried and tugged at my father with her other hand. But then, he was too shocked to even look at her. I hissed and walked out of the door still holding my unconscious mother in my arms. All these while they didn't notice the red mist that enveloped my mom's neck. "get back here this instant Melanie and explained what just happen before I get mad at you! * I heard my father growled behind me but i ignored him and walked out of through the front door. Latisha flew towards me and shoot me a stare. "you should have let me come to handle them. Anyways how do you plan on taking her to the castle? " She asked "I wasn't planning on taking her now, I wanted everything to end first before taking her but it seems things will have to be changed. I'll fly back with her.” I replied and dropped my mother gently on the grass before turning into my large beast form. Latisha did the same thing and helped me scoop mom from the floor and dropped her gently on my back. We then began to fly up to the sky to begin a short journey back to the desert. I didn't miss the sight of my ex family as they stared up the sky in shock,my other ex half sister even fainted. *** Alpha Ryker's POV *** She moaned loudly as my tongue grazed the nook and crannies of her neck. I intentionly slipped two fingers into her hole feeling the familiar warmth I receive. She was dripping wet and I liked the feeling of it. My beast hardened more. My heart is currently hurting. I'm suffering from the pains of betrayal from that cruel king. This is like feeling one gets when his or her mate is being intimate with another person. His heart will ache painfully and will be as if a knife is being pierced directly into it. A tear slipped my eyes as soon as the excruciating pains stopped. I sighed and sank into the bed. The cruel king has just added to the grudges I have against him. He knows very well that I still am connected to him and haven't rejected the mate bond yet but he still goes ahead to hurt me Intentionally. He must have heard the news of me being a powerful phoenix princess or me being the person who wiped out all of his men he sent to the desert,or me coming back to the pack so he went ahead to hurt me just so I'll give up and leave. But he hasn't seen anything yet. I'm not back to the old cruel pack to cry at his feet rather am back to make him cry out blood. I'll make him cry out blood that he wouldn't have even an ounce of it left in his body. "she's awake Melanie." I heard Latisha's soft Calling in my ears. I stood up from the bed and went towards the large exit door. I am currently back here at my firebird desert, inside my phoenix castle. I had flew back here thirty minutes ago when mother fainted.
