Chapter 18 Valentina’s Trouble
Josh stared blankly at the marriage license in his hand. At this time, he felt like he was going crazy!
He had pursued her for several years in college, but she had never even considered him. But now, she was married.
And the person she was married to was this ordinary man dressed in rags and looked like a country bumpkin.
“Impossible! This is absolutely impossible!” Josh gritted his teeth and wobbled back!
He stared at Yves and said, “What is so good about you? Why did Valentina marry you when she didn’t even want to look at me?”
As he spoke, he tried to tear up the marriage license.
Yves frowned and grabbed the marriage license.
“Give it to me!” Josh said in a domineering tone.
Yves smiled and said, “Well, no matter what relationship you and Valentina had before, now, she is my wife. I hope you can stop bugging her. Don’t worry! I will take good care of her!”
Yves’s words seemed to set fire to the bomb.
Josh was already irritated that Yves was alone with Valentina. Now, as her husband, Yves was asking Josh not to bug Valentina!
Arrogant and proud as Josh was, he could not endure it!
“I’ll fucking kill you!” Josh yelled and dashed towards Yves to punch Yves on his head.
Yves‘ visual sense had been activated, so he could see every move of Josh with great clearness.
Yves stepped sideways to dodge Josh’s punch. Josh missed the target and lost balance, rushing out with his back hunched.

He couldn’t stop himself, and his head hit the wall not far away, making a muffled sound.
“Josh!” Logan was shocked and quickly ran over to help Josh!
Josh turned over and felt warm blood streaming down his scalp.
He was dizzy and couldn’t see clearly.
Smiling at Josh, Yves put the marriage license back in his pocket and strode out of the restroom with his hands in his pockets.
Seeing this, Josh was so furious that he passed out.
When Yves reached the door, Valentina was already waiting, so he walked over.
“What happened in the men’s room just now? Was there a pervert hitting the wall of the women’s -restroom with something?” Valentina asked.
“Um,” Yves said, amused, “Someone hit his head on the wall and fainted.”
Valentina glanced at the men’s room and said, “I really want to go in and have a look!”
“Better not!” Yves said, “His friends will help him. He should be fine. Let’s go to your destination first!”
“Okay!” Valentina nodded.

They walked up the mountain road leading to Ivory Tower and arrived at the top of Ivory Tower after a while. An antique monastery stood there. When Yves walked near it, he felt peaceful. “This ancient monastery is quite interesting,” Yves said.
“Let’s go
have a rest. There are some quiet rooms over there for juice. It’s just a bit expensive.” Valentina said and pointed to a building not far away.
That building was also the symbol of the Ivory Tower. The entire building was like a white crescent, perfectly designed.
They went to the third floor of the building and asked for a box next to the window. After ordering some juice, they sat down by the window.
Yves looked outside. This place was in an excellent location, with a panoramic view of the entire Ivory Tower!
“The scenery of Ivory Tower is picturesque!” Yves said with a gentle smile.
Valentina nodded and said, “Yes. I used to come to the Ivory Tower when I got upset. I just sat here quietly and had some juice. All my worries can be forgotten!”
Yves turned to look at her and said, “Tell me, why were you upset? Or what is your real purpose in marrying me?”
“You noticed something weird!” Valentina became serious.
“You made it too obvious.” Yves also turned serious and said, “I’m not stupid. How could I not notice it at all?”
“Okay, then!” Valentina nodded and said, “There are actually two reasons why I came to marry you. The first one is my grandfather’s request.”
“Who is your grandfather?” Yves asked.
“My grandfather’s name is Jacob Simmons.” Valentina looked at Yves and said.
Yves thought for a while but could not find any memory of this name. He looked at Valentina with doubt and said, “I don’t think I know your grandfather. Are you mistaken?”
“My grandfather can’t be wrong.” Valentina shook her head and said.
“What about the second reason?” Yves asked.
“The second reason…” Valentina sighed and said, “I want to avoid another marriage!”
“Avoid marriage?” Yves looked at Valentina in surprise and said, “The Simmons family in Avalon City should be the top wealthy family in the country, ranking among the top five. You are the eldest daughter of the Simmons family. Who dares to force you to marry anyone?”
“The entire Simmons family is forcing me, except my grandfather,” Valentina said with a bitter smile.
Yves was surprised and said, “How did that happen? Why?”

“What?” Valentina asked, “What did you think of!”
“If I marry you now. Will Tyler pick on me?” Yves said.
Valentina was stunned. She never expected this to be Yves‘ first thought after hearing her trouble!
Then she heard Yves murmur, “Well, now that we already have the marriage license. It’s too late to change my mind. So… Let’s face it together!”
