CHAPTER THIRTY-THREE

My gaze dropped to his plump lips, they looked so soft that I felt myself move closer wanting to feel them pressed against my own. Getting fed up with the distance, Devin placed his lips on mine and like fireworks the electricity burst through my body.

He tasted like chocolate which drove me crazy, the world felt like it was spinning. The sensation was absolutely amazing, his soft, warm lips moved in unison with mine and the passion grew with each passing moment. He nudged my body down the bed till my back was pressed firmly against the mattress and his body was hovering over me with his legs between mine.

He licked my lip asking for entrance which sent shock waves all the way down my body, the desire to have him closer had me gripping onto the hair at the back of his neck and tugging him as close as he could get.

I denied him access at first just to tease him, he groaned in protest and bit my bottom lip softly causing me to gasp. He swiftly thrust his tongue into my parted lips and explored my mouth. This was getting very heated, both of us were moaning from the extreme pleasure we were both feeling and I felt myself tug at his shirt, wanting to feel his warm skin beneath my fingers and for a few seconds he broke the kiss to tug off his shirt.

Before I could even catch my breath he swooped in again, stealing the little breath I had managed to gasp in. He poured each and every ounce of feeling he had into the kiss, the amount of passion that I felt when he kissed me almost brought me to tears. My hands ran across his well-defined chest and I found myself becoming entranced by the feeling of his hard chest, I traced my fingers over his abs and ran my hands all the way around to his strong back.

I whimpered at the loss of his lips when he pulled away, both of us were breathing heavily after such a passionate kiss, his hands were under my shirt and his forehead rested on mine as we attempted to recover from the heated exchange.

“You're so damn gorgeous!” he whispered breathlessly, I laughed lightly at the crazed look in his eyes.

"You took the words right out of my mouth.” I said and he smirked.

“You think I'm hot, huh?” he teased and I pretended to think before replying.

“Seen better ey? I'll show you better.” He grunted and started tickling me. He knew just how ticklish I was and to my disadvantage he knew exactly where I was the most ticklish, his fingers moved rapidly over my exposed skin, not pressing hard enough to hurt me but hard enough to have me laughing and squirming under him screaming for him to stop.

"First say, “Devin is the hottest man alive, even hotter than the sun!” I laughed harder at his description of himself.

“I am not inclined to lie!” I shrieked between breaths and I felt him press harder.

"Say it and I'll stop!” he demanded but I wasn't having it, I gathered all the strength I had left and spoke through the torture.

“They say, ugly guys make girls laugh so that their eyes are closed long enough not to see them and dump them.” his hands froze, his eyes narrowed into slits and his warm hands cupped my waist as he growled in irritation. Instead of feeling challenged I burst out laughing and wrapped my arms around his neck completely unfazed by his glower. I actually found it very cute, but I wouldn't dare say that out loud.

I looked him in the eye with a grin plastered on my face, “Dev, I don't just think you're hot, I think you're sexy!” he frowned and sent me a confused look.

"What the hell is the difference?” he cried in disbelief, I laughed at his confused face and smirked. “It means you're hot, handsome and cute, all at the same time.” I tugged on his hair and bit my lip when I looked down at his bare chest; he looked god damn near edible. He pouted when I called him cute, but failed to hide his lustful smirk when I bit my lip and blatantly checked him out.

He leaned down and brushed my ear with his lips which sent a shudder down my body, “Well my little mate, I think you're beautiful, gorgeous, sexy and cute. At all times.” He whispered in my ear, his warm breath made my eyes roll with pleasure.

He basked in the effect that he had on me as he left wet kisses down to the curve of my neck until he found my sweet spot where he sucked harder, pleasure was flowing through me to such an extent that I could barely remember my own name.

When he was done he lifted his head and smiled at his “masterpiece” as he so smugly called it, I just rolled my eyes and smirked, “You do know that won't even last till morning right? I heal fast.” He huffed and mumbled something about needing to do something more permanent, his voice was muffled by the pillow that he buried his face in, but I froze when I caught on to what he was saying. The thought of him marking me excited me, but also scared me. My mind flew to what happened earlier; I wanted to figure out what was wrong with our mate bond before we completed the mating process.

Noticing my reluctance, he pulled back to look at me, “Hey, hey don't worry I didn't mean right now. I know you're not ready, I will wait as long as you need to.” He assured me with a sincere smile and I sighed in relief.

“Thank you.” I smiled and he returned it. I looked at the clock above his table and saw how late it actually was. I wanted to be up to train with the rest of the pack and if I didn't want to be tired for that, I needed to sleep, “It's late, we should sleep.” He nodded and climbed off me to switch off the lights and I immediately missed his warmth. Moments later he was under the duvet next to me pulling me closer to him, he wrapped his arm around my waist and kissed my temple as I moulded to him.

“Goodnight beautiful mate.” He murmured softly.

“Goodnight handsome.” I replied and fell asleep with a smile on my face.
