Legion members are not all the same age as they are trained individually in the beginning then classed into a legion that is already formed and at times placed in a new one like Elaina and her distant cousins.

Elaina has sat in sequestered sessions with her parents and the council of elders during the determination to dissolve mate bonds after both parties have been marked, it is for that reason she is resistant to being mated. The things she has read from the minds of the individuals involved has made her not want anything to do with it. Her parents are her ideal for a mated pair along with her god parents and that has seemed to become a rarity.

Elaina can shift into any form and utilize all their gifts, some feel her line is a perversion and there shouldn’t be a blending of the species. Those who reside in the human world have adopted a pro masculine way of thinking.

Depending on the supernatural in question, overtime they are drawn closer to the area of their mates. In the case of Nolan, he was drawn to move to California the day Elaina was born. He had dreamt of her from that day on but not of her as a child but her as an adult. Elaina didn’t start getting the visions until she turned eighteen, but the tree of origin kept the face of her mystery man hidden for a reason. If she would have saw him before she would have rejected him ahead of time before the day they met.

Children born to the Emperor and Empress are always born with a female being the eldest and a male being born second to every couple. But will that continue to be the trend as Elaina is an anomaly to her bloodline. Everything about her will exceed that of her forefather.

During the beginning of Nolan and Elaina’s relationship, Elaina rearranged everything in his mansion, added color and eclectic pieces. She also had incense burners all over the place telling him she was cleaning the negative energy from the women he bedded, in truth she did it to irritate him with the smoke, plus it smelled good. Elaina would occasional have him mute his video meetings handing him health tonics, staying to make sure he swallowed every drop. The tonics were healthy but she made them taste nasty on purpose as payback for the one he had her drink.

Elaina is a virgin but understands the ins and outs of sex and all the freaky acts done, from things she accidently sees in the heads of others, plus her legion’s women also shared all their dirty little details when they are not in the company of their male counterparts. During her first two years as an adult, she and a few legion member’s made a visit to a supernatural sex club, investigating rumors of trafficking. Elaina got to see an up close and personal view of how certain things are done.

The hash oil with the combination of the elven wine had an effect on Elaina only because her genetics shifted her fertility cycle to that of her mate to force her to complete he mating process, otherwise it would have only been a euphoric feeling. Intoxication is something that doesn’t happen to her. Since her shift in evolution her genetics will introduce a new level to the equivalent of heat.

Drinking in this book is similar to that of European countries for supernaturals. Average age to drink for them is typically on average the age of 16. Also there was a grade of hemp that is cultivated by the fae for a millennia. Nolan came into the business at the same time it became legal in California but only for supernaturals, as the strain of cannabis could put humans in a mini coma.

Elaina loves children and is hard pressed not to have any until she knows they can be safe from any fall out. It had been discussed between Elaina and Nolan at length. But will they be on the same page as time goes on?

Griffons being familiars is very rare as it is only divined by the tree of origin. Elaina is currently the only one in her world with a griffon, for now.

The fae in my book cover a wide range of humanoids, that includes elves, fairies, sprites and many others. Her first dinner was with a few elf princes and other high ranking men.

The last dinner she had for some odd reason was only one prince with his entourage. There were supposed to be more, but that prince bullied the others not to come by some dirty tactics. Lex did have bed olympics with the prince and he was not Lex’s mate.

During the seige in the realm Elaina sent out an energy blast that stretched the entire kingdom, it brought back those who weren’t meant to die. The ones who didn’t come back were resigned to their fate and chose the afterlife instead of returning. The realm is like the fountain of youth and some have been alive since the tree of origin and were ready to move on from the land of the living.

Handfasting is more than a wedding and will be explored more in depth in book two. Book two will reveal the things not seen in the background in book one. More things not resolved in book one will be addressed in book two.

In the beginning after the Tesla keycard incident, Elaina would often get into a play of words with Nolan and would mimic what he said, doing an over the top English accent and make reference to him considering sleeved shirts with cufflinks relaxed attire. She made inferences to his age as she knew it irritated him. She likes getting under his skin and in some ways he seems to like the bantering.

Elaina didn’t want to break the bond solely because of their fight, but to save Nolan. Most do not survive once a mate dies. Instead of risking Nolan dying from grief or killing himself at her loss, she would rather him hate her and live, than waste away or commit suicide.

Elaina is very close with her Uncle Reggie, when she was little he introduced her to music from all eras and countries, taught her different fighting styles and weapons training. They spent a lot of time together when he wasn’t on missions and accompanied her during her realm training.

During the wedding celebration for Michelle and Lennox, they had a set of games set up like an obstacle course. Objective was to obtain a flag at the last challenge. Several members competed including Nolan, Bryant and Elaina. The catch was no use of your powers. At the near end they had to cross a tight rope. Elaina cut hers instead and did a Tarzan type swing propelling herself to the other side. While Nolan and Bryant were almost across their ropes, Elaina strummed them, making them vibrate, causing her brother and Nolan to wobble but not fall. The last challenge, once the flag was retrieved was to ride a wild unicorn across the finish line.

During the battle with Tristian in the mobile compound, Elaina could have stopped all of them but at the risk of killing her team and her family in the process. If she did what she is capable of, it would have set the wheels in motion for the glimpse of a future she wants to avoid. Never becoming immortal, used as a broodmare by Allister and Tristian. She would have eventually won, but at what cost? What would have been left for her or anyone that would have survived that wave of terror?

New humanoids will be introduced with another anthology page for book two as we will explore gifts many wolves in book one have all but abandoned. A unique group of wolf shifter have evolved differently and have not lost touch with these abilities.
