Chapter 90 I Give Up 

Everyone knew that even if Glen Corporation could not provide Gwyneth with the money she needed, she still had the support of AMC Group. The bidders in the auction thought that Gwyneth would find Emerald Trails not worth it and give up. However, that did not happen. In the end, they lost their bids. 

Gaspard was not representing Glen Corporation that night, so there was no guarantee that he would be able to pay for the bid if the price. continued to rise. Gwyneth knew that, yet she still went up against him. It was clear to him that his daughter was trying to screw him over. 

Gaspard gritted his teeth. His emotions were all over the place, and he was clueless about how to proceed. 

“Dad, is it still possible? Should we just give up? I fear that…” Judy was watching everything on the side. Her palms were getting sweaty. and her heart was beating wildly. She knew how much Gaspard wanted to pay for Emerald Trails Project, but the current bidding price had 

exceeded their budget by more than two times. 

If they really wanted to bid for this project without the help of Glen Corporation, they would have to put everything on the line. Judy coming up with a good suggestion was a once–in–a–blue–moon phenomenon, but all Gaspard saw was red at that moment. He did not hear what Judy had said. Even if he did, he would have probably criticized her for it. 

Gaspard stared at Gwyneth’s back and gritted his teeth. He could not care less if others saw him in this state. “That rotten bastard of a daughter! How dare she go against her own father like this! What a bastard!” said Gaspard with a low voice filled with rage. Veins bulged from his forehead, and he looked livid. 

Over a dozen bidding rounds have passed; the only ones left in the game were Gwyneth and Gaspard. Everyone present was enjoying the show. After all, seeing a father and daughter compete for a location was rare. 

“Mr. Gaspard has added another fifty thousand dollars to the pot. Do you want to raise the bid, Ms. Glen?”

Gaspard looked like he was going to spit out a mouthful of blood. He would have collapsed at the auction if not for his strong body. Emerald Trails was a second–class project that almost cost him everything. The price was beyond measurable. 

Feeling a hot, burning gaze behind her, Gwyneth turned around and saw Gaspard’s red eyes staring at her. She gently tilted her head. looking like she was innocent. She opened her mouth, and through her lips, Gaspard could tell that Gwyneth was congratulating him. 

“Damn it. That evil…” 

Gwyneth admired Gaspard’s expression and accepted that the man hated her. She then turned back around, content. The following auction items meant nothing to her, and her body was uncomfortable from sitting on a chair for so long. Gwyneth took advantage of the gap at the end of the project bidding and directly got up to leave, with Wanda following closely behind. 

Elizabeth saw this, and something sparked inside of her. She turned around and looked at Kingsley, her eyes full of reminders.
